  1. OMG!!! where'd your avatar go?!?!
  2. jip also loving the Alu version... looking to get my soon to be two-year old a balance bike so gathering as much info as possible at this stage what looks to be important is weight, air wheels, comfy saddle, protected nuts/thread, not so much the break (until about 4 or 5)
  3. Anyone tried these yet?
  4. Giant Trance or Anthem Maestro suspension is the shizniz if you looking for comfort and good climbing ability

i don't... thought you knew of a lekker route why not just drive out to emma (or sunninghill) and drive the full spruit and back. at least then you get about 48km off-road as opposed to 20km off-road and 90km on-tar. much better option imho

MTB? do you go off-tar to get to Emma? sounds interesting but only if it's off-tar most of the way, else it's a bit far to go ride 20-25km on the spruit... (way too much time on tar)
  7. Cool, thanks! Will check it again after next ride.
  8. Hey Guys, Took the Anthem on her maiden ride this morning. Man! What a machine! After the ride I noticed some oil sitting on the sag / o-ring. Is this something to worry about or is it just excess oil from assembly purging out? I'm a DS noob so appreciate any guidance on this.
  9. +1 for Garneau (also have wide feet and high bridge)
  10. http://www.ridefox.com/content.php?c=recall give this link a try and see if it works
  11. I've heard previous bad reviews on the FOX fork (Fox 32 Float RL CTD Evolution) coming standard on both Spark and Anthem. It did however seem to relate to 2013 models (?) Earlier versions of the Anthem came with the FOX CTD shock and RS Reba fork - some say that set-up was much better than dual FOX... How do you Anthem and Spark owners rate the FOX fork (is 2014 model better)?
  12. this is awesome! gives me more reason to support this shop all the way from Jozi!
  13. Going down to the WC for some R&R next week and I'm allowed to take my bike! Really keen to go do some trails at Jonkershoek since I've been drooling over the horrible horrible photos you guys post each week... Anyone have GPS coordinates for the parking area close to the starting point? Don't want to waste time drive around looking for it. Secondly - is it safe / okay to ride alone @ Jonkers? Thanks!
  14. Old schooling it on my 1999 Trek 6000 at Heia this weekend. Forgot how k@k v-brakes are when they get some mud on 'em! And then; Loots sharing a scratch behind the ear with one of the locals.
  15. dude.... stuck in Joburg? jeez... I've heard mountain goats complain about Joburg having so many organised events compared to what they have in the Cape so I'm sure you'll be okay. After work riding can be a challenge compared to CT since you have more daylight (duh...) and now going to get more challenging moving towards winter BUT nothing we can do about that. some good suggestions from Hubbers so far!
  16. jinne, maar die mannetjies motor!
  17. Don't agree with them riding that way but sounds at least like they were polite about the whole thing... if you got klapped with the front wheel of the bike through your window; now that gives cyclists a bad name! Whatever happened to those guys by the way?
  18.
  19. well that makes sense. not.
  20. Good luck for tomorrow PieterG!! Hope to get some proper review stuff on the Sprada after riding it for a week.
  21. I have the exact same problem... first DS and also between Anthem and Sprada...
