  1. Looking for a Rock Shox lockout knob if anyone has one lying around?
  2. I had the same problem with my Epic. It has to do with air getting into the brain and causing the oil to cavitate. The rear shock will feel squishy and horrible if you ride it. Take it to your local Specialized store and they will send the brain off to be repaired. I took mine in, they installed a loan brain while they sent mine off and then reinstalled all for free because it was still under warranty. It seems like a common issue
  3. I cant see why it would not work. As long as the hoses and olives are compatible there shouldnt be a problem
  4. Oh Wow, I found them online in 1kg bags so I assumed thats what they were. That suddenly drops the value to less than R1000 worth of stuff that you probably have already
  5. I just did a quick tally of what its all worth and the coffee is by far the most expensive item! 4 x Bars @ R25 = R100 Smoove = R130 Energade = R20 Buff = R20 Pepper Spray = R300 4 x Coffee @ R210 per KG = R840 Aliexpress glasses = R150 Total = R1560 I honestly wouldnt want R840 worth of coffee beans in cycling box!
  6. I am trying to understand how this works.... You pay R498 for 3 months and then get 1 (ONE) box after the 3 months for a total price of roughly R1500? Or You pay R498 and get 1 box after each month that you pay like a normal subscription box?
  7. Looking for a really cheap road bike for a trainer in the KZN area. I have posted in the wanted ads a few times but haven't really found anything in my price range. I'm looking for seriously cheap. Its literally only for using on my dumb trainer.
  8. I am on the opposite side of things here. I am looking at buying a new bike so I have scoured through the classifieds and found a few that interest me. So, I have sent emails as well as messages to the guys selling but I dont get responses.
  9. Where / how do you get the special? I dont see anything on the site or Instagram page
  10. This is an amazing bike! David is also a real passionate builder and has skills and techniques that are amazing
  11. I was lucky enough to take one of these for a spin at the show and I can tell you that it is amazing. The geometry makes the bike feel nimble even with the slack-ish head angle.
  12. If you have some time to drive to a few spots, there are trails just outside of Kenton-on-Sea as well as a nice loop from Cannon Rocks to Alex and back (60KM odd)
  13. Samsung Galaxy S5
  14. The flash is an awesome bike and the lefty completes the package. Once you ride a lefty, every other fork is sub standard. I would go for the one that has the bet components because everything is pretty much the same across the frames
  15. Pratley steel quickset will fix it while you wait for the part to arrive
  16. I have done roughly 10 000km on a set of 540s and they have never let me down. I had to replace my cleats the other day because they had worn down before the pedals
  17. Do you have an invoice from the seller? What is the reason for them holding the package?

    SRAM XX1

Have a look at the wolftooth direct mount chainrings
  19. I couldn't agree more. The design seems to be flawed, especially when it comes to the master cylinder as it seems to be right against the bar when clamped. If it is overtightened or bashed it seems to leak. This was the case with mine. I had a set of Louise BAT's for 3 years and never had to bleed them or fiddle with them at all... I presumed it would have been the same with the new models
  20. I had the same issue with a set of MT2's and MT4's. They repaired my MT2's but said that the MT4's were destroyed. I have never had issues with Maguras and now had 2 bad sets? I dont think the local service department is that clued up to be honest
  21. Contact Dorpie if you want a Titan at a really good price. He has some awesome bikes at excellent prices
  22. After pulling my trusty steed out of the garage this week after having almost 2 weeks off from Sani2c, I found that it had acquired a bit more dust and dirt than usual. I assume that this is due to me being lazy and not washing my bike after the ride, so all the dirt from the beach, drive home and general dust has coagulated around my chain. My chain, chainring and cassette were terribly dirty and they had a thick gunky trim along the entirety of the drivetrain.I decided to use a new product that I was told about by a friend - Cleanextreme foam chain degreaser. All I had to do was hose the bike down, spray the degreaser over the chain while turning the cranks and then leave it for a few minutes. The foam sticks to the chain doing it's magic and does not drip into any bearings or go anywhere it shouldn't.After a few minutes I hosed it off and the drivetrain looked brand new.I highly recommend this product because it works so well!I bought mine off www.kitted.co.za but I am not sure if they still have stock.
  23. I am going to do both bearings as suggested above. Thanks again
  24. I managed to get the black nut off and I got to the bearing. It was completely dry and needs to be replaced. Thanks for all the help guys! Much appreciated
  25. I don't want to sound like an absolute noob, but how do you take the freehub off?
