  1. Heia again today... Coming along slowly...
  2. Holy Cr@p, so much of want. And very cool to be part of the community. Don't think it needs more range if there are enough people with the app on their phone, it will just work. I would download the app, even if I didn't have a device. It just needs a better way to hide it on your bike.
  3. Where the hell did you find them at those prices... I need to go there tomorrow.
  4. Saw it on my travels today, looks good, but would love to see it in a 250ml, or more bottle. Will try it when my purple extreme is finished.
  5. So, after confirming that the bike was there ready to take for a test, I got there and it wasn't... I then found out that the Scott Genius 740 is not imported into SA. I then found out that there are no trail 650b bikes in SA. Kudos to the guys at Kyalami Cycles, don't know the shops actual name, and the ever present, Linden Cycles. One of you guys will be getting my loot. Best advice and best discussion on bikes out of the 5 shops I visited today. Admittedly, didn't get to 2 others I wanted to visit, Mikes Bikes and Northcliff Cycles. Anywho, gonna probably end up with what the Hairy one told me... Giant Trance, add dropper post, ride till I break something...
  6. Please tell me you're going to do them on a good quality T, those cheap ones suck. Good quality cotton shirts, I'm in for couple.
  7. Thanks Hairy, note the orange Etto lid, taa to Tractor... Best thing I did for Ty, proper coverage, and I can see him miles away! Josh took a fall, but jumped straight back on that scooter... Off to do it again on Sat.
  8. Complete has a good selection of great lids.
  9. The Hub, like minded people doing good! Lots of love in this thread.
  10. Will feed back over the weekend.
  11. Yip, looks fast... It has a bell!
  12. So I been riding my starter bike, a hard tail. I knew I would upgrade it if I enjoyed riding it. Set myself a few goals, like 1500km and a ride of 50 in one go, didn't do the 50, find it boring. Anyway, so now I been looking around and have decided on FS bike. Although XC and stage racing is what everyone thinks you want to do, I want to ride AM and trail. Very little AM around my part of the woods, so better would be a trail orientated bike, with some AM properties. Scott 740 is getting tested tomorrow. I have been watching the classifieds, but haven't seen what I really want, and my LBS is cutting me a great deal. Including a "service plan", fitting and getting me a few days extras/changes. But first the test ride.
  13. I personally think that the fairies do a great job! Having said that, I think they should remember to make sure all jumps should be rollers. Allowing less talented people like me, to find approach lines and speeds, and build skills, with out having to commit. Love that minners thing near PnP, but take some of the chicken runs on the way down...
  14. No Man, feel your pain. Hope you find her...
  15. Who me, cycling? No way... Ssshhhhh, don't tell anyone. B)B)B)
  16. It's just cause who I am... And kinda what I do, will always try and help. But I get you.
  17. 2, 3, 4, 8, 10... 6 with MTB bars. And... "Gravity's a blast" And "haven't been to casualty in 3 weeks now"
  18. Well Done... Lesson learnt, I will carry extra of everything. Including a pen and paper for phone numbers...
  19. Wish I could join... Work till 6... I ride or run in the morning.
  20. Sweet steed! Can't see a bell, needs a bell... Otherwise, how do we know it's fast...
  21. I actually think it is a legitimate question. If someone has had a bike stolen, CC would not know it was stolen, they would just Google the estimated second hand value, and be able to set a reasonable retail price. They could easily have a stolen bike sold to them. I mean, how do you prove you are the legitimate owner of you current bikes? I have a receipt, because of the way I paid for mine, but, does everyone else? And that helmet you have, etc. So, the post was not saying CC are buying and sell stolen items, it was that a bike that might easily have been flogged on The Hub, was in a CC store. Bottom line is, CC are doing what they do best, buying and selling second hand goods. A Hubber was doing what they do best, looking out for other hubbers. And with the spuit of bike thefts across the country, I say thank you. Anyway... I haven't had my bike stollen, and it's not that one. Anybody else.
  22. Yip... That's what you gonna be in for. Helmet, protective clothing/sporting goods. So sporting goods don't attract duties, but SARS always take the higher amount, and protective clothing is going to attract someone's attention...
  23. Gonna do this from my phone... Damn auto correct. We do alot of importing of these types of items. And unfortunately, that number seems about right. VAT on 1300 is about 180.00. 40 to 45% (depanding on original and nylon quantaty) duties on clothing on 1300 less the bottles could easily be 400. Them the clearing fee, both customs and DHL charge a fee, another 200, plus VAT. Documentation fee, 30 to 50. Sorry dude, that's quiet easily correct.
  24. That's the stuff we used to ride, road bike with flat bars and knobly tires... And that's exactly how I used to bounce, now I just splat!
