  1. Hey Meezo, any bikeshop that stocks Maxxis should be able to get them for you. Alternatively if you cant find any I know for a fact my Lbs have some for (I think) R620. Sent from my S40 using Tapatalk

  3. Hi there, that's getting quite deep real quick. Welcome to the BikeHub,you'll find there's alot to learn on here, but this place is filled with hotheads and light hearted banter,so don't take everything to serious. BTW, nice bike you got yourself, do enjoy it thoroughly. [emoji106] Sent from my S40 using Tapatalk
  4. This looks like it could be great fun, especially if you would combine it with some kind of drinking game. [emoji4] Sent from my S40 using Tapatalk
  5. That was quick. Did they ask you at the bikeshop to try not to break this one? [emoji6] Sent from my S40 using Tapatalk

  8. I didnt actually ride anywhere, but took my wife's bike to a nearby farm for a few pics to advertise it in the classifieds. I had a few places in mind to take some pics, but must say I'm glad now I chose to come here. Sent from my S40 using Tapatalk

  11. Yesterday I slept in a bit and had a late start to my MTB ride. Took one of my favorite routes, the road to Stettyn Dam again, didn't realize how unfit I have become over the past few months of very little riding. Was glad to see that the dam was at full capacity after the recent rains. My wife and son joined me at the dam and we went for a short hike on a footpath used by the Freedom Challenge guys and then we did a bit of fishing. Sent from my S40 using Tapatalk
  12. Since he got those blue gumboots it's been an ongoing battle trying to get him to wear anything else. Sent from my S40 using Tapatalk
  13. Took my little guy and the dogs out again today. Must say his a tough little bugger, had a few off's and a biggish OTB on a ramp today, but no tears shed. Sent from my S40 using Tapatalk
  14. Strongs to the little one man, its part of the learning curve. Sent from my S40 using Tapatalk
  15. Damn! Second year round I'll be missing this one again. Very good friend decided to get married that weekend and I'm the best man............I'm busy reevaluating our friendship now........ Sent from my S40 using Tapatalk
  16. Finally got out of the house for more than a commute today. Started the morning with a road ride on some farm roads around town. It was such a beautifull day to be on the bike in my valley. Spent the afternoon watching some cycling on the tellie and then ended the day of with a ride with my little guy again. Focus is the name of the game. Precious moments with these little ones, he tried a jump again and it ended in a OTB with the bike smacking him in the back of the head. Little shredder just got up, dusted himself of and went on without a peep. Sent from my S40 using Tapatalk
  17. I also tried something over the weekend with strawberries......... and my wife liked it........ [emoji48] Sent from my S40 using Tapatalk
  18. Since Knog had a heavily discounted clearance sail and my Lbs got in some stock for unbelievable prices I sommer got lights and multi tools for all the bikes in the house. Sent from my S40 using Tapatalk
  19. I have also seen an new Onza leak through the sidewall, the remedy was as mentioned by others to top up sealent and leave on its side overnight. You can throw in more sealant than the recommended amount, those few grams wont make you slower. I would also recommend using a thicker type sealant for the first week or two to get it sealed, something like sludge or puncturefree works like a charm. Had the exact same issue with a RR before aswell and used the same method as mentioned above for Onza. Sent from my S40 using Tapatalk
  20. Its really good to see that cycling is becoming such a popular sport at a younger level. Good to see that school's have also started recocnizing cycling as a sport. I believe this will also bring more kids to the sport along with all the races and series's also catering for the youth. Keeps the sport and the industry alive and well. 21. Took my son out for a ride in the bush/field next to our suburb this afternoon. There's a short oval bmx track that he loves to go ride on. The local neighborhood kids have started building some ramps, much to my little guys delight. I was told that we should stop for a trail selfie. Think he learned it from his mom when they go trail walking. Sent from my S40 using Tapatalk
  22. Damn thats hot! Saw a few teazer pics on Instagram, man dit it turn out good. This time it might not be a opportunistic theft............ [emoji185] [emoji48] Sent from my S40 using Tapatalk
  23. Eish! Sorry to hear dude. K@k way to start the weekend hey! [emoji20] Was also thinking of giving the roadbike some love this weekend, but reconsidering now. Hope you and the bike get well soon.[emoji6] Sent from my S40 using Tapatalk
  24. I gave my XTC some attention aswell yesterday. Have been running a SR Suntour oil fork for the past year, but not anymore! Got this from my Lbs built up out of parts from various old forks. Lowers and internals from an old model SID and the stanchions are the Blackbox Carbon ones from a Spez Brain SID. If only I can ditch this stubborn flu bug now so I can go ride my upgrades. 25. Regarding the single bottle cage mount, a slight inconvenience for the average SA rider, but Scott don't exactly aim their bikes at the marathon market. They have Nino Schurter as their poster boy, so I'm drawing the conclusion that their bike is intended for XCO type riding and therefore a single bottle mount is sufficient. Regarding the suspension that "looks like a Giant", Google will show you that there are quite a few different suspension designs and all bikes that have vertically mounted shocks are not coppies of a Giant. Personally I am looking forward to this change in suspension design. The current Scott Spark suspension design is known for suffering from pedal bob, hence their lockout system that "turns it into a hardtail".This new suspension design should supposedly rule out the pedal bob.
