  2. Its been two weeks with no luck trying to get pics up from Sea Otter Classic. Finally this morning the gods at wordpress opened the gates. Check out the latest goodies including the new Formula XC fork and wheelset as well as the sub 1000g Industry Nine wheels! LINK 1300g 80/ 100/ 115mm fork: 1340g XC wheelset: and the beauty... all 970g of her: Check the full post HERE morewoodkid2010-05-03 05:52:03
  3. You can get them HERE
  4. Alternatively give HEL a try. A good alternative to Goodridge and you can get hoses cut to length and shipped to you to save you the fuss of having to sort them out yourself
  5. Check these out: LINKY *note the store is not functional as yet... should be live by the end of the week J-Bend Industry Nine hubs laced to either Stans 355, Arch or Flow rims on your choice of DT spokes... Wheelset should come in at 1500g, 1580g and 1650g respectively [depending on spokes of course] and pricing should be around the R8k mark.
  6. Headset, fork bushings, rear suspension bearings/ bushings/ hardware, wheel bearings, bottom bracket bearings is where I would start looking. If the problem persists when you are not on the brakes its most likely elsewhere and perhaps extenuated by the brakes.
  7. Nothing touches the 355 rim for dirability, weight and performance! Its the best XC rim I have ever built on!
  8. Both standards have their selling points, although IMO 15mm is wasted. The new Maxle Lite system from RS is as light at the 15mm QR and considderably stffer due to its 110mm spacing as compated to teh 100mm spacing of the 15mm system. As Mumpara mentioned though you will need the corresponding hub to match the fork and visa versa so be careful! As for MTB clincher, its a regular tyre. Tubby [Tubular- glued on tyre ala road] is the alternative
  9. Just digging through old posts here... I have all of these guys ins tock if you guys are looking. Also in ABEX 3, 5 and MAX type [for pivots]
  10. Then it should be with them shortly to my knowledge. Will try get more info, otherwise drop the guys a mail @ Sports Nut? I don't think they take holidays like we do
  11. Not sure... we shipped some stuff out before the factory closed off last year. What size/ colour?
  12. Yep, placement of the shock, although having little to do with its performance does still effect the ride of the frame. On a downhill frame a shock weight is a HUGE percentage of the weight of the frame so its placement largely effects the centre of gravity of the frame, thus having an impact on how the frame handles. Just my 50c
  13. good luck getting them through the striking customs staff
  14. I'm a 355 fan myself, I have two wheelsets built on these rims and another on the Flows. The 355 has a wider profile that the Olympic and as a result you get a larger volume out of your tires and IMO a better profile. For XC and light trail riding go 355, if you're hard on rims then go Arch.
  15. Finish Line as mentioned abouve and Fritz Pienaar should be onboard by October.
  16. Unfortunately no cusotm colour options on these guys initially as they have a special power-coat and clear finish in order for the decals to have clear coat over them. Just the white and black options initially.
  17. The rearon for this is quite simple actually: Morewood believe down-tube cable routing to be by far the neatest and cleanest looking' date=' also the most effective at keeping the cabling out of the way of water bottles and top tubes [for portaging'], however there is a bit of resistence from riders having the front derailleur cable run down the down-tube due to the likelyhood of contamination where it comes up the seat-tube from under the bottom bracket. For this reason the front derailleur is routed along the top tube. *NOTE* on the Zula however all cables go down the bottom due to clearence issues with certain front derailleurs and performance and placement requirements.
  18. Yep, paint, decals and finishing [reaming, facing and tapping] are done in the factory in PMB.
  19. Actually Greg was the fastest in the bottom section someone has been putting in secret training as usual...
  20. Zula should be in the R16500.oo region, you'll have to line up for these guys though...
  21. Considdered the Morewood Zula? We're making an XL which will have the lengt you'll be needing in both the top tube and seat tube. Whats more its STIFF! Yes... 29er would be ideal...
