  1. Definitely worth it! I've just found a local app on the iStore, BikeRite which I'm trying on a new bike "project" I've got on the go. Looks like its the real deal
  2. I believe the guys [Jade and Jono] from Chainworx in Umhlanga have a couple hanging in the store: (031) 561-3295
  3. ^^ now we're talking! ^^
  4. you guys written #gwinning off already? remember Sam's track record here is pretty sharp too
  5. ^^ PRICELESS ^^ Awesome post!
  6. Got this video in a few of the "bearings threads" at the moment, shows how the blind hole puller works: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wGk-RD5cuSc&list=PL9DC2A0EF4BCCEF29
  7. Posted tis video in another thread, but it shows clearly how the blind hole puller works. A little overkill for a home mechanic but... what the wife doesn't know... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wGk-RD5cuSc&list=PL9DC2A0EF4BCCEF29
  8. Hey guys, see the previous posts on this, these are all available locally in SA: Rush Sports / Enduro Bearings We don't do "kits" as a result of ever changing specifications from the frame and wheel MFG's, but we have pretty much every available bearing on the shelf. If we don't have it we fly out shipments every 3 - 4 weeks.
  9. We've got 'em all: Enduro Bearings @ Rush Sports Plus some video's: Repack your bearings: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Io755VQhBm8&feature=share&list=PL9DC2A0EF4BCCEF29 Using our "Blind Hole Puller" and "Bearing Press": http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mgBG-E4wV_Q&feature=share&list=PL9DC2A0EF4BCCEF29
  10. @Meentb did you come right? We have plenty of BB30 - BB92 conversions on the shelf for both 24mm style [shimano, Raceface, Rotor] and 24 / 22mm [sRAM / Truvativ]
  11. In his defence I get LBS sending me Formula brakes on a regular basis having done the same thing in error. I guess it just depends what you are exposed to. There are a lot of Shimano brakes out there, and likely people with less exposure to the different products just ask their circle of mates and get the wrong advice.
  12. What sort of budget are you working around? I have build some of the XS Turner Flux 26" frames in the past. To my knowledge its one of the smallest FS frames on the market. Big bonus is the length of the head-tube which will allow you to keep the handlebar in the correct position VS the saddle.
  13. Hey Guys Thanks for pointing this out. All items which are discontinued simply have a place keeper price of R9999.99. These pages should be hidden from regular browsing, the only reason we keep them listed and don't delete them altogether is this would result in broken inbound links if the pages all of a sudden did not exist. You will notice that all of the items in mention are out of stock and hence "Create Stock Alert" is displayed. This said... the fact that they are showing is an issue and something I'm looking at with our content management guys at the moment so thanks for bringing it up! 2nutz: I've had a look at the link to the R1 brakes... seems to display the correct price: R2560.00 per side excluding rotors?
  14. @the_wes: your point is extremely valid. Not to excuse this, but if I may just mention that managing an inventory of in excess of 10000 items is no easy task, there are various opportunities for errors such as this to arrise, and that is why we have methods and channels of communication open to resolve these. What is more concerning is that you emailed us and you did not get a response on this, and for this I sincerely apologise! Please drop me a PM or email with your details and I'll be sure to get back to you personally!
  15. Hi Hairy, spotted the site and product in mention. I will look into this... I see their "SRP" is in line with ours, will need to do a little investigating and see what we can do. Tim: this is certainly a valid point, I think there are various stand-points and will certainly be many, many opinions on this. I think the method the store is executed has a lot to do with the separation in terms of blurring interests. I would be happy to chat to you about this off forum however as it is a rather in depth discussion and would likely peak popcorn sales
  16. Hi Hairy, it would be helpful to let us know which skewers We do our best to keep prices as competitive as possible, so by all means feel free to engage us on this.
  17. We used to run them, but its a tricky situation, I think knowledge needs to be shared for free, but unfortunately when you need to add time, logistics, venue hire, catering etc it gets a little out of hand. What I want to try and achieve over time is a wiki style reference for people to get informed at their own pace and tech level. There are various video's and articles up on the site already, however I still think its lacking, we will be putting more of a push in this year to grow the number and range of topics covered, and have some great ideas up our sleeves in terms of further innovation... should be exciting!
  18. Hey Guys onetrackmind: I hear you! We [Rush Sports] are "powering" the shop on behalf of Bicycling mag, there really is some exciting stuff in the pipeline, expect many product reviews from us, more work on the tech.rushsportscycling.com domain in terms of "DIY: How to..." articles and video's. We hope to do things a little differently from our competitors, and our goal is really to educate and inform, and empower our clients with knowledge. Its going to be one hell of a year!
  19. Hi Pinoy Sorry to hear about your difficulties today, we are in the process of moving the shop to our own dedicated server which will offer some key improvements, however as a result there have been a few hick ups... Feel free to give us a shout in the morning and we'll be sure to sort you out
  20. Yes, its been rumbled and mumbled, but now the interweb has made it official: PRESS RELEASE I think it could be one of the most exciting World Cup Downhill years yet...
  21. Hey Brightred As the guys mentioned above its a failsafe to prevent internat damage to the master cylinder in the event of a crash. The best way to get it back in is to disassemble the MC and clip the ball back into the piston. Your best bet is to get the bike to your LBS to get this sorted out. Unfortunately it does mean that the brakes will need to be bled. Hope you come right! Failing which give me a shout and we can arrange to collect, repair and return All the best, -- Andre
  22. If you're looking for something you plan to be spending time in then you need to forget about the 661 options and look at the POC. CRC is your friend There is nothing better in terms of breathable, lightweight protections.
  23. Check out the FREELAP products. The basic stuff is available through CRC at pretty reasonable prices. I'm looking at bundling an order together with some of the DH riders and ordering from Freepap directly, this will drop approximately 20% off the pricing from CRC. PM me if you're interested
