  1. The SLX shifters can do double or triple mode, so its just the crank you need to swap. According to the spec sheet, the bike is supplied with an 11-36 cassette.
  2. Above the clouds
  3. Very nice build kit! its quite similar to mine Where do you have the Thomson bars on order? I think I need one...
  4. Combine it with rule #5 FIVE AND DIME : Laying down The V in the wholesale commitment to Rule #10
  5. These are on their way to me
  6. I used SRAM links on my 9spd chains for ages and never had a problem even thought they say that they are single use only. On my 10 speed chains, I will use KMC links.
  7. Get hold of Kevin @ BMC in Salt River Tel: 021 448 4692 http://www.bicyclerepairs.co.za/?page_id=30
  8. I believe that those are BMC edition Lightweights Edit: its a gorgeous machine!
  9. He is politely asking the gentlemen who climbed onto the podium to leave, as they were uninvited... He isn't called 'The Badger' for nothing.
  10. Its good to hear that Omnico was quick to sort it out. But why did they wheels disappear in the first place? And why couldn't the LBS get some action. That's not so great on their part...
  11. He hasn't changed much...
  12. There are so many places in Tokai that we are not allowed to go, I feel that I have right of way on the mountain bike specific single track. I came face to face with 2 horses on Fairie Garden a while ago. I thought that seeing as they had the size and weight advantage, I should move. But I was really annoyed with that. (Or am I wrong about them being mtb specific?)
  13. Do you mean its on the left hand half of the R60 then? That's good news!
  14. No man! There is plenty of space to squeeze through in single file on the left....
  15. My latest creation Shimano XT 2x10 drive train Hope hubs, headset and brakes Thomson seatpost & clap, stem & topcap
  16. I won't be riding tonight , but I hope the wind dies down a bit. Its pretty hectic here in Town...
  17. We rode this morning and had no problems either. Its a great route.
  18. What? Downtube shifters? Nice bike. Nots so sure about the camera
  19. Is this better?
  20. I heard a wild rumour the other day that there might be a 15 minute mandatory stop. That sounds bizarre as it would be impossible to manage. The first water stop in Ashton is also causing some concern among those that have a high water demand (like me)
  21. It doesn't say where though: http://www.iol.co.za...21#.UIk2NG83t8E A few years ago a bridge washed away, so there was a short cyclocross section along side. And more than once, I am sure we rode over sand along side the flooded section of road in Montagu.
  22. I thought it was better to resurrect an old thread, rather than start a new one... Has anyone done the route recently? Are all the roads open? Our DC team are planning to ride it this weekend and don't want any nasty surprises. Edit: I see that the left hand lane is closed for rock fall repairs. Does anyone know how long this section of lane closure is and if the pass still ridable?
  23. Do you know where along that road?
  24. I don't know if this bad boy has been posted already Alchemy Orion from bikerumor.com
  25. Finally! Congratulations! A Beautiful (full) Bouncy (tall) Boy! I wish you many happy and safe miles
