  1. I might have one @ home... Seeing as its so rare and in demand, I will think about how many million Zim Dollars its worth
  2. What I lack in patience, you make up for. I would have paid extra and DHL'ed it so I could have it in my dirty hands ASAP
  3. In most places, it seems that the cycle lane is just really an extra parking lane... I remember seeing a video that a New York commuter had made of him getting a fine from the police for not riding in the cycle lane. He retaliated by cycling around New York filming everything obstructing the cycle lanes and finished it off with crashing through the back window of a police cruiser parked in the bike lane.
  4. This is how I understand it: chainwrap capacity = big ring - small ring + big cog - small cog I have 38-34 rings and an 11-36 cassette so, 38-24+36-11 = 39t SGS = long cage has a 43t capacity GS = med cage has a 35t capacity So I got a long cage rear derailleur.
  5. I also have a Giant TCR and use the Magicshine MJ-808 with the rubber o-ring stretched pretty tight and it works fine for me.
  6. There is an 'Order Problems' page with various options: http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Help.aspx?HelpTopicID=116 Go to the 'Order not arrived' link and send them an email from there. I think they send you a form which you fill out and hopefully they send you a new item.
  7. I have done several CRC orders over the years and have never had a problem. But since they changed their shipping policy, things take a LOT longer and there seem to be more stories about items not arriving. But that is more Royal Mail & SAPO - not CRC.
  8. It's had a strong charity focus pretty much since it started. Have a look at this link: http://www.cycletour.co.za/index.php/causes/beneficiaries/ 'The PPA and Claremont Rotary currently share over R5,5-million in Cycle Tour proceeds, making the Cape Argus Pick n Pay Cycle Tour an event with a lot of heart.'
  9. Well done chaps. Your effort is much appreciated. How was the weather? It didnt seem like the most cheerful day...
  10. Yupp. That's pretty awesome too!
  11. And does the Garmin mounted out front cause any problem with the throw of light?
  12. About 85kg on a crest wheelset. http://www.notubes.c...elset-P452.aspx Arch EX has a 105kg weight limit http://www.notubes.com/ZTR-Arch-EX-29er-Stock-Wheelset-P918C130.aspx
  13. No, but its still dark @ 5:00 when I go out on my road bike besides, most of our morning ride group have Magiclights of some sort
  14. If you have a bar mounted light (Magiclight for example) doesn't the Garmin out front cause a shadow?

Makes me think of the Jack Spratt nursery rhyme (Excpet Mrs Wiggo looks a whole lot nicer)
  21. Doesn't it sort of depend on how fast you ride your mtb?

Chiru Mountain Bikes? http://www.bikerumor...l-of-the-above/ The RMK (Race Morpho Koncept) is a full suspension mountain bike that converts between 26″ and 27.5″ wheel sizes on the small frame, and 27.5″ and 29er for the medium and large. Travel is 75mm in the rear with an 80mm to 100mm to 110mm recommended fork travel as frame sizes go up. They’re big into marathon racing there and these travel increments suit the terrain and riders the RMK is aimed at.
  23. Crosstown Cycles (021 761 0112) in Kenilworth is the closest to Newlands I can think of.
  24. It's even got a helmet at the end to stop your hand slipping off!
