  1. It looks great Congratulations !
  2. What shifters are you using? This is what I did with my XT M770 shifters
  3. You rode your new bike in this nasty weather ?
  4. I thought that this sort of talk was prohibited on this particular thread ?
  5. New Parlee Z-Zero + Enve bits + Campy EPS Gruppo = 6.72kg http://www.bikerumor...c-brake-option/
  6. I don't think Crown do Giant bikes Olympic do though. As do CycleLab (Westlake or CBD)
  7. So you got 2 new rides? Nice!
  8. Easton EC70 flat & wide bars - its about the only part on my bike that I picked for its weight. I weigh 100kg, so the rest are for reliability edit: Oh yes! ESI chunky grips (Thanks Azonic)
  9. The nice lady in the Saffa bikini looks like she has healthy lungs
  10. I finally got the Hope headset, Shimano XT I-Spec cover plates and the Hope shifter mounts.
  11. Report back on my experience with Wiggle: All my queries were sorted out on the day I sent the subsequent emails. The banking issues sorted themselves out. (The first full amount debited was a 'reserve', and then the 2 subsequent amounts were for the actual items and the reserve was then reversed.) The first package arrived 1 week after ordering and the second package, a week after that. The £34 I paid for express and tracked delivery was refunded in the form of a voucher. So in the end, I have my goodies and am happy with Wiggle and will use them again.
  12. I appreciate a toot from a truck or a bus as it approaches. Its better when its done from a fair way back to serve as a warning. It gets a polite wave from me and a toot back in response. Everyone is happy. When they come right up behind me and hoot, I get a fright and swallow my saddle
  13. There is a roadie group that meets at the entrance to The Links golf course almost every morning @ about 6:30 (I think). Routes vary between Hanky, the game reserve gates, Jefferies Bay and just Humansdorp. Pace was usually pretty chilled heading out, but got quite festive coming home (depending on who was there) We were quite lucky with the wind and weather this past December. There always seemed to be plenty of mountain bikers around. Not much real mountain biking, but plenty of dirt roads around.
  14. Here is an interesting new one - Stages Cycling StageONE - From $700 Crank based Bluetooth & ANT+ compatible weighs only 20g battery has a claimed life of 200 hours, and it is user replaceable without recalibration http://www.dcrainmaker.com/2012/09/stageone-699-ant-bluetooth-smart-crank.html http://www.bikeradar.com/news/article/stages-cycling-stageone-power-meter-interbike-2012-35270/ Too good to be true?
  15. Such fantastic weather in Cape Town yesterday! My boy and I did a loop around that track in Tokai and then went for a milkshake @ Tribeca - nice bonding time.
  16. Google tells me that its a 31.6mm dia seatpost and you require a 34.9mm dia clamp
  17. The rims are carbon, I don't think that the alu niples will be a problem.
  18. From what I can work out, the M781 is the new direct mount type
  19. I think the 2013 XT gets a few small additions like Shadow Plus (M786) rear mech with the clutch. I have seen references to a M781 rear mech, but I cant work out what's different to the M780. Bikerumor was talking about direct mount options for the rear mechs as well. And maybe more 2x10 chainring options like 38-24 (I saw that on the 2013 Scott catalog)
  20. I have those hubs in black. So nice! The first thing I thought of when I saw the nipples was aluminium oxidising and bonding to the rim, but that's not an issue with your carbon rims. What do they weigh? Its going to be a pimping wheelset! What spokes will you use? Is your frame's rear 142x12?
  21. Yes, that's the battery under the seat. I have a seperate battery for the front light. I can run both lights off one battery, but that requires a splitter cable and a 1m extension cable. I don't like all of that on my bike.
  22. Its the only kind of boy I like...
  23. Is it from Santa? Was he out for a Cruz?
  24. This is my current setup
  25. A lot of the dealers and sales people come across as quite surly. But once you get to know them, they are OK.
