  1. Probably best to remove the cassette. You then avoid the risk of getting degreaser into the freehub body.
  2. I also weigh in at about 100kg on a dual sus with tubeless. 2.0 up front and 2.2 at the back? I am trying that for a while after 2 pinch flats and a dinged rim on the rear.
  3. I also feel a bit tyred
  4. Each one of those custom Madone's get uglier and uglier. Somebody called it a viral marketing campaign for Trek.
  5. Got another pinch flat on Friday! AND dinged the rim properly. I think my pressure was a bit low and I was riding like a tonsil. Then, my rear hub seized up yesterday. What a fun weekend!
  6. Kevin @ BMC (Bicycle Maintenance Company) in Woodstock.

  16. OK, on a serisous note... What are they for and do I need them?
  17. What, like grind them flat?
  18. Be careful or I will send VomitusMaximus to tighten your cones!!
  19. Instead of buying a full tool kit, I am buying individual tools here and there. Cone spanners are on my list (if I were to use a Park Tools kit as a template). What sizes do I need - if any? And what are they used for?splat2009-04-29 06:26:49
  20. Stop posting pics and build the bike. I wanna see the finished product - its gonna be awesome!
  21. Who are you dealing with? A mate of mine has been waiting for his CR1 replacement since the 99'er...
  22. I have been riding up the singletracks in Tokai more often lately. I always took it for granted that the climber gets right of way. About 2/10 descenders stopped for me. 8/10 just blasted through - 3/8 said thanks. Clearly there is no protocol in this regard. Not a lot of this either.splat2009-04-29 00:01:30
  23. EtienneB - Everyone is an expert on The Hub!
  24. That is quite an eventful ride! Luckily you ride with 2 spare tubes. I also got a pinchflat/snakebike on my new Mountain King rear tyre on my second ride. Stans wouldnt fill it, so I patched it. Bit of a P.I.T.A. but it's holding. I was dissapointed with the tyre as I didnt think I hit whatever I hit that hard. But then I saw the ding in the rim... Stans didnt fill the hole which I didnt think was that bike - but it was right at the rim and I suppose its difficult for the Stans to get there and do its job.
