  1. Hey Got it queued. Busy with ZeroZeroZero (which is good, but I am finding it hard work because it's quite slow moving)
  2. Bootlegger is approved to deliver beans during lockdown Cape Town only Min order: R250.00 Free Delivery https://www.instagram.com/p/B-jOxHuJdOV/

I am happy to go back under my rock - listing to this makes me feel like I am on a merry go round (while the sound source is stationary) and I start to feel dizzy
  4. Seems that he has made a good recovery https://www.cyclingnews.com/news/dlamini-recovered-and-ready-to-race-as-soon-as-he-can/ Back on the bike a month ago already (So I am a bit behind on the news...) https://www.instagram.com/p/B9GdLSNF-nK/
  5. I really enjoy the Rapha films: https://www.rapha.cc/rd/en/stories/the-best-of-rapha-films?iitt=VuU9RM4lhMPshFWchfs3tuPZEd81hdJLRfXcbdiA&utm_source=exponea&utm_campaign=NAC-NWL-EMA%2020200328%20UK%20EU%20ROW&utm_medium=email
  6. I watched Contagion (2011) last night 'inspired by pandemics such as the 2002–2004 SARS and the 2009 swine flu outbreaks' They touched on a few interesting topics, but skipped a few others. Pretty interesting and well done (and obviously really frightening)
  7. Family core & strength exercises outside = lawn prezels It's hilarious to see who has the least/most co-ord, flexibility and strength.
  8. Keen to watch this, but can't seem to download it on 'my normal' channels
  9. So, people are losing their minds about the silly Joburg to Cape Town cyclist, or Reggie on Strava and now these specimens have earned themselves some airtime: https://www.news24.com/Video/SouthAfrica/News/watch-run-in-with-the-law-traffic-cops-confront-cape-town-joggers-20200327 Not too many people seem bothered by the shebeens etc that were closed (with arrests) in the early hours of this morning and it seems that a lot of us are oblivious to whats happening in the townships. There is a video doing the rounds on WhatsApp showing how busy the streets and malls are in Kayalitsha (too big to upload here), but it's business as usual... https://www.news24.com/SouthAfrica/News/national-lockdown-alexandra-ignores-call-to-stay-in-20200327 Posting this here as a follow on to the topics mentioned above. I am not condoning outdoor exercise, but it seems to me that outrage is being poured in the wrong places (or is the internet and social media just make easy targets of certain people?) (or am I being a snowflake ?)
  10. The Johannesburg resident told officials that he was attempting to cycle to Cape Town. He has been detained at Mondeor Police Station.Lockdown Update 27 March 12h00.pdf
  11. It was the short socks that forced the authorities to act...
  12. Not everyone has heeded the president's call to stay off the streets. While public spaces were deserted for the most part on day one of the 21-day nationwide lockdown, two joggers from Pretoria still opted to go for their morning run.
  13. I am not a runner. At all. So, I feel no comfort in being able to go for a quick jog on my own. For everyone who wants to carry on cycling (including me) - just be aware that if you hug a tree or roll over a car's bonnet (like I did yesterday) - go home and self medicate. Do not go to any hospital - this was the message from the driver of said car's bonnet. She is a nurse @ Groote Schuur.
  14. Seems like this needs to be used every few pages
  15. So there I was cruising up Main Rd @ 35km/h with a lekker South Easter tailwind, when a car turns in front of me and I go skidding and tumbling awkwardly over the bonnet. Out jumps the driver - super apologetic and in quite a flap. After I calmed down and she stopped panicking, it turns out that she is a nurse in the cancer ward @ Groote Schuur. She looks me over and says something along the lines of 'be glad that I don't need to go to hospital and try my best to look after my scrapes at home'. Basically, her message was stay away from hospitals...
  16. No, but someone within arms reach of me might get hurt after a few days... (kidding) Guess I will be doing a lot of this:
  17. It sounds like people are referring to different sized peaks or visors. The one is totally useless, while the other could be useful in certain applications
  18. Best the #Enduro crowd don't find out about that
  19. Correct With the current lack of Epic, he is doing a 'walk down memory lane' on his insta feed. So awesome! https://www.instagram.com/garyperkin/
  20. I love to watch these dream build videos every now and again. Gary Perkin's Santa Cruz Hightower, Illustrated by Sam Needham - Doodle Bike
  21. Glasses + visor on my MTB. I am not a pro racer, so am not worried about being aero. Visor is useful when sun is low
  22. This is a relief! (long may it last) Because this had be nervous: The City has decided to close the below City facilities from Wednesday, 18 March 2020. We will continuously assess the situation and will inform the public accordingly. Facilities to close include: Art centresBraai and picnic spotsCamping sitesCity sports fieldsCommunity halls/Civic centresSwimming poolsMuseumsNature reservesRecreational hubsResortsSpray parksStadia http://www.capetown.gov.za/Media-and-news/City%20to%20close%20facilities%20to%20contain%20spread%20of%20Covid-19%2c%20encourages%20use%20of%20online%20services%20where%20possible
  23. Yes Paying R90 (or whatever it is) per entry sucks the fun out of the ride. Especially if its only a few km each time... I am nervous/concerned about TMNP closing Tokai and Silvermine... That would suck, but at least there is Table Mountain, Greenbelts & Kirstenbosh
