I agree. Just going for a ride add trying to get a day permit in some places can be a real P.I.T.A. The system is outdated and silly. It's 2020 - get rid of cash and paper! Riding without a card or permit is not recommended... Paying per ride gets expensive, so it really makes sense to get one. You need it for front face of Table Mountain (Including Rhodes Mem area), Newlands/Kirstenbosh loop and Tokai itself (of course). R625 if you get a single card. Go with 3 other mates and it comes down to R360 per card. @ R90.00 per entry, it pays itself off quite quickly. They need more places to get day permits or rangers need to be able to sell you one. But they stand jn a place that is nowhere near a Point of Sale. I get the feeling that they are there to catch you, not help or facilitate. You need a permit to ride on Table Mountain (front face), but there are multiple entry points and only one POS. Same with Newlands, Kirstenbosch loop. Without an Activity Card, it's a real PITA to just go for a ride in some places.

Please could you enlighten us (from the same rule book used above) about the responsibilities of a driver of a vehicle? Like to stay in the lane, drive with care, not crash into other things and to stop if being involved in an accident etc. But in the mean time:
