Thanks
I stripped the Slade down, and polished/repainted then promptly sold it.
Wish I could have snapped that up! Looks rad
On a related note, does anyone know what the Quaxar 'Matrix' compound is?
Selling a Ryder Force in case anyone is interested https://www.bikehub.co.za/classifieds/390209-ryder-force-saddle/
Any chance there are more 17mm cone wrenches? It's a stretch, but I figure worth an ask
This may seem like a silly question, but have you shone a light down the seat tube to see if it helps identifying what the cable housing is getting stuck on?
I've routed a dropper cable housing through the OneTen29 frame with relative ease but I did find it required the cable housing to be completely free i.e. attaching it to the handle bar and frame mounts was done after having routed the cable housing through the seat tube. My assumption was the additional "freedom" helped with wiggling it through the frame catch points since the angle the hole in the frame places the cable at is not conducive to an easy routing experience.
CRC order placed 30 Sep.
Delivered 9 October.
Seems there may be some hope.!
If you don't mind me asking, what was the admin fee?
Anyone on the forum have rider feedback for the Primal 29? The geo numbers suggest it will be a fun ripping ride, but first hand feedback appears a bit limited on the interwebs. Keen to hear from anyone who owns one
I've got one on my enduro bike. I'm struggling to get used to it - supposed to prevent tjommie pressure, but my sit bones are feeling it!
I have the exact same experience. After a couple hours it starts to border on the uncomfortable but I still think it's a decent saddle when considering the asking price
Although I don't own a set, Cura's are always put forward as a good option. I've been running Shimano Zee for a while and find them spot on for my needs (and weight). But servowave isn't for everyone as the modulation is a bit more on/off.
Personally, if I was looking at new brakes I would be tending toward Cura's. Or Hayes Dominion, but they're in a different price bracket!
The best ones are the "Spokey" brand. Ideally the red and the yellow. (Red 3.2 mm and yellow 3.4 mm). They have a plastic base and don't scratch the rims like metal ones do. The large tabs allow for easy turning and measuring the amount of turn is pretty simple. That said there are so many spoke and nipple combinations that if you build more than the odd wheel you will end up with a drawer full of wrenches.
Thanks David. I've been looking at the Spokey brand mostly but from what I can see they don't seem to be locally available. Do you perhaps know where to get hold of them?
Question for the experienced wheel builders - what spoke keys do you use that are available locally? Is Park Tool the only worthwhile option or are there others?
Yes. Should have some stuff for you next week in Jhb.
Amazing how things work out - one of the guys that works at my parent's complex was in an accident a while ago. He saw me on Wednesday morning and said he really wants to start riding again. Wednesday afternoon he had a new bike thanks to Chavo!
Amped this worked out the way it did. Thanks for facilitating the handover ridr
I'm busy preparing for a big bike packing adventure. In order to fund this, I sadly need to let Slade go... https://www.bikehub.co.za/classifieds/379913-silverback-slade-trail-2019/
Looks like a lekker ride!
Is it only available in Red, if wanting back and front hubs?
