  1. My timekeeper
  2. And also disregard the excel spreadsheet giving you split times. It's horsesh!t. It said I had to be opposite Hyde Park Corner at 1h01m. I got there at 1h09m, and was behind at every split from there to the finish... I finished in 2h51m
  3. Maybe she took a right off the M1 and hooked up with Jan Smuts there, thereby skipping the CBD loop.
  4. That is the answer. Best time to own a scooter... Pull up, helmet under the seat and finished browsing while some are still looking for an empty parking bay...

  6. Not cool at all Glad you walked away unscathed...
  7. My secret concoction is: Hammer Perpetuem in bottle 1 USN Epic Pro in bottle 2 I have tried most supplements, but find these work best for me. Wasn't all that impressed with 32GI to be honest, but then I don't follow a strictly Low GI diet, don't have the money or the time...
  8. The N14 beckons... And the bit after that. They don't call it Heartbreak hill for nothing. That's when you realise your time has gone for a ball of ****
  9. You should try 32GI , seriously, that stuff rocks BIG time!!!! Especially if you want to do a sub-3. I have never ridden a sub-3, which leads me to my next question. How do I eat/train to obtain a sub-3? (besides drinking 32GI, obviously)
  10. Giordana
  11. Me, I do like an expo. But I only have a few weeks to wait until the 94.7 expo... So, having said that... The rain wasn't great, but obviously something that is out of organisers hands... Goody bag, I can take it or leave it. Nothing of great value inside usually anyways. I did get Dove deo at the end, so I could mask the wet damp smell that was coming from my cycling shoes. Finished just in time for the rugby kick off. And like a previous post suggested, full road closure is the biggest plus of all. So, for me.... A positive experience. One I will be back to endure next year. (with a hopefully sunny day next time). MY BIGGEST GRIPE IS WITH MTN. SHAME ON YOU!!!!
  12. Snickers is the best by far...
  13. Agreed. But I know one thing, they must have quite an average speed going up that mountain...
  14. The Crystal Method - Drive Nike+ Original Run Mix
  15. Only ever tried Assos, Giordana and First Ascent. First Ascent are cheapish, but like everything, you get what you pay for... Giordana for me. Like them so much, I wouldn't even try another brand, as they tick every box.
  16. Lance Armstrong doped? No!!! In this clip he is surrounded by dopers on Alpe d'Huez, but miraculously puts them all to bed. What a star! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1-y38WZAtgc
  17. I used to be a loyal CL shopper, but recently Northcliff cycles get my business. 1. They are closer to home 2. Very friendly and knowledgable staff 3. Best workshop service I have had in JHB. (And my bike has done the rounds)... Sure, they aren't the cheapest, but they get my vote Oh yes, and the goose behind the counter looks like Liv Tyler!
  18. Here's mine. Funnily enough it's for sale on the Hub.... Bike porn of note!!!
  19. GEAX Saguaro
  20. Gotta be this
  21. Great stuff, Darryl O! I will definitely pop down and have a look, thanks...
  22. Will look into that, Cheers...
  23. I am contemplating purchasing a CUBE hardtail, but don't know anybody who has/had one, so would just like a little feedback... Are the frames any good?
  24. I got mine from a Yale security shop. (There is one in Cresta Centre if you're in the area) for R115
  25. Pepper spray (in light of recent events)
