  1. Also want to do this course. I see the dates and info on the website is from 2010.
  2. If I can hold 30km/h over 60-80km, I am pleased. I often find that my performance varies though, some days I feel really flat and useless, other days are power days where friends battle to hold my wheel.
  3. No danger there, unless you ride exactly the same bike, same helmet and have exactly the same build as said Knob (capital K). Unlikely.
  4. OK, so this thread saves me starting one of my own... I was at Emmarentia Dam yesterday with my 2 daughters (one of whom has just started riding without her training wheels). Enter the Dyckhead on his S-Works (who for some reason can't leave the brickwork to dirty his tyres a bit) screaming towards us at about 30km/h. He comes so close to my daughter that she promptly loses her balance, grazes her knee and is now in tears. Best part? Dyckhead doesn't even apologize, put his hand up or even look back. Sir, you are a prick of the highest order. And if I see you there this weekend, prepare yourself....
  5. Cyclists workshop offer a pick up/drop-off service http://www.cyclistsworkshop.co.za/servicing.html Good work done by them too...
  6. Westdene have a Colnago M10 in stock. Go and see it and tell me if you think the frames are outdated. Its beautiful!
  7. http://www.cyclingnews.com/news/tony-martin-injured-in-training-accident Eish, thats gotta hurt. Out of the Tour perhaps?
  8. Don't think its too bad. Shutting the M1 and the N14 for the better part of a day can't come cheap. I see the route has some tweaks AGAIN!!!
  9. My ride...
  10. Mine:
  11. Mambas have hoods?
  12. Exactly the type of bike I had in mind. Thanks! Now just have to find a dealer...
  13. I am looking for a bike around the R5k mark that I want to use purely for commuting. (15km each way) I suppose a hybrid or something similar would suit best. Does anyone have any idea of where/what to start looking at? This is new territory for me. Calling time on commuting on a carbon race bike with deep sections. (undermines the value of the bike IMO.)

    Tubbies

Clincher 1 - Tubbie 0 IMO. Just have a decent no.2 before the race and there is your 300g weight saving.

    Tubbies

OK, this is from someone who rides clinchers. Is the ride that much better on tubbies, to warrant the added aggravation of changing a punctured tyre and the exorbitant cost of replacing?
  16. I think I am in love....
  17. +1. I do it almost every weekend...
  18. Here is a beast of a camera, with a price tag to match!! http://www.adorama.com/HSH4D60K.html?utm_term=Other&utm_medium=Shopping%20Site&utm_campaign=Other&utm_source=dealtime
  19. Nice shot!
  20. My favourite pic of my daughter...
  21. My Argus time on a 26" MTB 2005, the wind was *** that year to boot... Minimal training. Wasn't fun though.
  22. Who are the other main contenders? Can't see Cadel Evans winning again.
  23. I fink you freeky
  24. Is the bleeding into chamois not linked to hemorrhoids?
  25. You are quite right, Dubber, it did cost an arm and a leg.... But to be honest I dont see the point in purchasing a new body when this one seems to be doing just fine. I can vouch for the fact that the lens is what makes a great pic... My advice to anyone looking for a camera is to spend less on the body (obviously get one that is semi-decent) and blow the budget on the lens. Which is what I have done...
