I commute everyday I dont cut through the harbour i use the N1 all the way into the CBD but thats at 5:30 am. The cycle lane goes through pardeen Island and if you cycling at a decent time then you have plain riding all the way in. Cycled in with Hairy this morning

A suggestion for labour . Why dont we "hire " some of the guys that sit at the side of the road looking for work to help us on fixing the trails. Maybe we could hire a few to help us this way we can give back to the unemployed as well? I will help on the trails with pleasure, just my work entails loads of week ends so it gets a bit hard What has been fixed on the trails if I may ask?

What are you even doing on this forum? Bad news about your dad, hope he gets well soon and gets back on the bike. On my way to work this morning I was thinking about being hijacked the guy that got smacked in his face and bike stolen, and how it would affect him in the long term. Would he ride alone, would he ride in a group or would he even ride again. I imagine it must play on your mind every time you ride past someone. Whats is going to happen. Its not only the guys that get hijacked that are affected , other riders are also affected by thinking about the incident and if it will happen to them when the ride in certain areas. Really sad hoe this can affect us all

Cycle it everyday. The thorns come and go some days loads out some days nothing luck of the draw. On my way back today I see they tearing up the cycle lane in parden isleand just befor the bridge for some reason. easier to ride down the bus lane there. But also watch out TAXIS have found that they can use the bus lane to by pass some traffic so are using it.

Hmm never heard of you should never stand on a MTB. Only time I sit is going up hill. Coming down its all standing

Pity that it cant be put up as you finish on a LCD screen.Imagine as you finish you can go over to a screen and see how you did. Im sure its possible to do preliminary results that way, maybe the software is up to that level yet.

I doubt the cticc will the that $$$$ the 94.7 expo is in the Sandton convention center. Maybe the expo could be more attractive by having live shows, Danny Mcaskill style etc. indoor tricks competitions, maybe even a urban DH race to coincide etc. Or the city must just put some money in the GHC and fix it up. What else is it used for?

I was thinking about this yesterday, The only reason i can think of it not being at the CTICC is cost.

We doing normal buffet friday for R150 pp nite and a pasta buffet saturday nite, Our one is Saturday Nah no gun needed , but will give you a banana that you could point if needed.
