  1. Wow you guys realy make an effort. I had the same lunch today that I have had for lunch since I got married 36 years ago - peanut butter and jam samie. My fault because I make my own. Still enjoy them. Enjoy Sarge
  2. Hi, "The Slap" looks as if it could be good. "Shameless" is a hell of a family!!! Sarge
  3. Hi guys, We all have an opinion and will never agree with each other, but for me a bicycle race is a bicycle race. Some are more beautifull than others and the Argus is definitely special. But for me the fun of the race is to get away from work etc etc and spend a weekend with either friends or family or both. That is still on for most of us, and a good outing is still guaranteed. Put up with the changes for this year and have a joll. Just be carefull doing it. Regards Sarge
  4. Hi FRAIL, Nice meeting you in the tent at the finish yesterday. Good luck for your future tours. Regards Sarge
  5. Hi Cpt, Those balance bikes are the best. I got my grandson a JD Bug some time ago, and wow did he enjoy it. From there it was a realy easy progression to a peddle bike. Enjoy your boy Sarge
  6. Hi all, Been following all your projects and decided that I had to join the SS clan. So far I am still in the strip and plan phase. Regards Sarge
  7. Hi, Try TCP. I think it is sold as 3CP now. Not so extreme, but does dry out the "problem". Sarge
  8. Hi Johan, I bought my 2nd Opinel last week. Took it home and used my Lansky on it. Must say the blade sharpened up nicely. I have not used it much, and am keen to see how it holds it's edge. Regards Sarge
  9. Hi Tumbles, HaHa, yes that is the truth!! Regards Sarge
  10. Hi Alex, We have some ugly wind here in Ladysmith as well. I don't mind it because you only battle 1/2 of the way. I just select a nice low gear and spin my way along. My feeling is that even a bum outing is better than no outing at all. Have a great weekend Sarge
  11. Hi Guys, Sorry to change the topic slightly, but I recently heard of a debate over the best wine to drink with your rice crispies. Have a great weekend, and be safe. Sarge
  12. Hi Uni, This is a problem with this type of rack. I was also stumped as what to do. If you put more than one bike on the rack they all lean at different angles - depending on bike size and frame design. Even with the three length arms supplied. If you then try to clamp on different parts of the frames it becomes awkward. I did not buy a Thule but the people that sold me my rack supplied me with two additional long arms that I then cut to a length that would allow me more options - in order to clamp the bikes streight up. Good luck with solving your problem Sarge
  13. Hi, Thanks - great viewing. Sarge
  14. Hi Johanlouw, I payed R600.00 for a similar frame some years back. Was worth every cent - doubt if I will ever part with it. If it is a complete bike I agree with X-man - R2500.00. Have a great week Sarge
  15. Hey guys, I was having a great Friday until now. Now I am depressed. Sarge

  19. Hi, I pull the things out - but only at home where I have the time and means to fiddle. I am always scared of the thorns working their way out in the middle of the bush and cannot plug it properly. Sarge
  20. Hi Carpet, I am with Mutual and Federal. No problems at all. Was involved in the big squash in the last "Fast One", damaged my bike and was payed out within two days of me claiming. Sarge
  21. Hi guys, You all are getting some serious distances on your tyres. Is this all on dirt or is there a bit of tar involved? Regards Sarge
  22. Hi IVR, I bought a rack through Barry and later had dealings with Ian from MENABO. Great people to do business with. I am sure they will not let you down. Regards Sarge
