  4. X2 Mojoman. Best way, and when it warms up later on in the ride you just take off the inners. Regards Sarge
  5. Hi Lentum, +1 for 'Dale.I also think it is important to train over the distance that you intend racing. Most important - enjoy what you do. Sarge
  6. Hi, I agree with Mr V but the few times that it has happened to me after going over a cattle grid or two, I have managed to plug it by de-flating the tyre completly and getting in with a plug. Can be frustrating - good luck Sarge

Hi Skylark, Just what I was thinking. Looks like a bone breaker to me as well. But what the hell - most fun things/toys come with a risk. Sarge
  11. Hi Jkoorts, It ads to the excitement - you never know if you are going home on two wheels of in an ambulance!! Have a great day all of you and good luck with your recovery georgedup. Sarge
  12. Hi gents, I know nothing about skating and need both my feet on the floor to stop from falling over, but what astounded me was the speeds that they are capable of. Wow, 130Km/hr down hill and averaging something like 60Km/hr round the "track" in the 5000m. Sarge
  13. Hi, This is madness. The airgun needs to be shoved up his b#m - sideways. Keep safe guys Sarge
  14. Hi Witkop, I like the way you "put it". Have a good day Sarge
  15. Hi Mopkop, Good 2nd hand will always beat new - if you know where it comes from. It is also a blast to go into a LBO and buy brand new. I would go for the Cannondale and be sure of problem free riding for the next 5 years on a bike that you will always be prowd of. Good luck, because at the end of the day it is a personel "thing". 16. Hi, Not sure about social media, but there would definitly be talk about replacing a manager/trainer etc. Regards Sarge
  17. Hi guys, I do not know either of you but that was a good chirp David!! Regards Sarge
  18. Wow,that was a long time ago. I had a bike at school with one. Worked very well and never gave any hassels at all. In the beginning I favoured the internal gears because they could not snag on bushes and what ever laaities rode through those days. Later I fitted a derailer as well and had a whole stack of gears. I was very proud of myself. Good old days Sarge
  19. Hi guys, Hell it is great to have some positive feedback instead of complaints about service at a LBS. I presume 1/2 the locals know the shop because of the location - behind Hooters (where is Checkers??). Regards Sarge
  20. MMMMM, now I see why riding a MTB is becomming the new golf. I could become a convert quite soon. Regards Sarge
  21. Hi guys, This is an ongowing problem and is continually discussed on the hub. It does not matter where in the country you ride there will always be somebody that is not obeying the rules of the road. I tend to agree with one or two of the replies saying that a person must do what is right and do your best and to be carefull and just hope that those that don't do not land up as statistics. Have a lekka day and a great 2014 Sarge
  22. Good old Hub - for all the cycling advice that you would need. Great stuff Sarge
  23. Hi Craig, I do the normal washing etc but am lazy. I put lots of "lite" lube onto the chain after a ride and then wipe all the excess oil off. I hope that the oil that I take off, takes the grime off with it. Hope so!!! Sarge
  24. Hi gents, This sounds like a good/fun idea. I remember the Bridgestone RB bikes that were around a little while ago and always thought of looking for one. Can I get my hands on one and what would be the price be for a reasonable one? I ride a 58cm road bike. Regards Sarge
  25. Hi, It must be a strange/nice to actually feel safe on a bicycle amongst traffic!! Have a great weekend Sarge
