Hi, I agree, cycle races are very expensive compared to running. There is also a stack more marshalling etc and a water point every 3km. Most cycle races (up to 80 km) only have a water point at the 1/2 way. Regards Sarge

Hi Kevinc, There is some realy good road riding in that area. If based in Drakensville there are some nice hills to ride, out and back. As far as MTB goes Little Switzerland and Alpine Heath both have tracks to ride and they are not far from where you will be staying.By riding to either of the resorts you will get a good ride in. Hi, I average +/- 9000 every year. But living in the country makes it is a lot easier to ride most mornings. This morning was a bummer, it was raining. Not that I should be moaning because the rain is great and we realy need it. Regards Sarge

Hi Rock, If you look around you can find an insulation tape made from a thick rubber. The difference is that the rubber tape is a self bonding type that bonds to itself and forms a solid rubber sheeth where the gunk cannot get into. The closer it is wound onto the chainstay the thicker the protection. Good luck Sarge
