Hi fellow Amashova riders, I was also disappointed with the registration / finish setup. There appeared to be a lot of confusion and the expectation of an expo was mis-leading. On the positive side the entry was spot on and for the first time in the last two years I was seeded correctly and my entry had not been lost. The start was also great and the route well organised. Hi Grumpy, I am in the same boat - going upstream without a paddle. I have also been waiting a few years now and still nothing. I go into the charge office and enquire every now and again and enquire as to the progress. Twice I have had to fill in new forms because the orrigionals have been lost/misplaced, but I live in hope. Most times I go in I am told that the longer I wait the longer my licence will be valid and that I must just be patient?????? Regards Sarge
Hi, It is not only when you are on a bicycle or bike when an accident happens. I was walking past the exit fron a filling station a few months back when a taxi calmly drove out and ran me over. Luckily I was knocked out of the way and the traffic on the road missed me. I now look what at what is happening around me. Regards Sarge
Hi Sammajoor, Yes I did see this new statistic. What was more interesting for me was the so called reasons for obesity. They blamed unemployment, depression etc as the major contributing factors. I wonder if it is not more a loss of personal worth or pride. On TV the other night a "big" guy was interviewed and his answer was that he knew he was fat, but to do something about it was too much of a hardship. Regards Sarge

Hi, This is sad, but what makes me MAD is the fact that all the announcements made from government say that intimidation will not be allowed and strong action will be taken if present. Hi gents, There is a topic on the forum concerning compact cranks etc, that I found very interesting. What about the length of the crank? I am under the impression that the length of the crank is dependent on your height. If I am correct is there a chart that can be used as a guide? Regards Sarge
Hi, There seems to be a lot of negative comments regarding the announcement. I think that the Tour of SA is a step in the right direction and if it happens I am sure that it will be a great event. Hi all, This is a topic that will go on for ever. The bottom line is that entertainment is expensive and if that is what you want you must pay or do as more and more of us do, arrange your own rides in the week ends. Running is also expensive, not only cycling because although there are no trails to build, they have to arrange watering points every +/- 3 km for water and coke/energade etc for all the runners.
