  1. \ Got to agree on the Weirwolfs I think they came standard on my old Mercury they were a bit heavy but tough as nails and fantastic grip. I went from those to Cobra lights there was no grip the front was lethal
  2. Checked my data on garmin last year 200.16kms and 1333m ascent this year 207.1 kms and 1457 ascent I did go back to look for my friend when I realised he was dropped out of group so that prob added 2 or 3 kms to my distance and a few m of ascent but we still must of climbed close to 100m more this year
  3. Good turn out good ride Thanks to the all the the guys and girls that we rode with. My knee's did complain from about 180 onwards but we got there
  4. Last year I remember we had to do a reverse of that loop on way back to get the 200km distance if you turned left into 5th without the loop last year distance was too short? see you guys in the morning
  5. You will be very happy with that camera what lens did you take with it?
  6. STM lenses are great if you are doing video because they are silent you dont get the noise of the lens focusing spoiling your video. I shoot video on my 700D with an 18-55 is stm and its really the good. My Daughter has a 650D with the 18-55 dc lens and its very noisy. None of this is an issue if you are just doing stills. She has the 3 lenses you listed with your 600 option and although these are entry level lenses the quality of her pictures are perfect and she is quite happy with those lenses. You can get great deals on the 650D at the moment and to be honest my 700D is a 650D or vice versa :-) have a look at Studio22 ,Outdoorphoto or ODP and orms as I already listed and see whats on special as sometimes one place will be running a good deal. The 100D is a smaller camera and I have not used it but its specs are basically in line with the 650D if I remember correctly 650D might be a bit quicker on burst and you have the vari screen which is an option I really like esp when u have the camera on a mini pod and are looking down trying to compose a pic in the screen. Hope that helps cheers
  7. Orms have the one bundle on special at the moment http://www.ormsdirect.co.za/canon-eos-100d-dslr-with-ef-s-18-55mm-f-3-5-5-6-is-stm-ef-s-55-250mm-is-lens And here is a bundle on special that is a better option than your 600 combo above the 650 has a lot of nicer features quicker burst rate and vari angle screen both nice features the 650 is basically a 700D http://www.ormsdirect.co.za/canon-eos-650d-ultimate-bundle
  8. Hi Are you mainly interested in stills or are you going to use the video option and if so how much video are you going to do?
  9. Been lucky enough to ride my friends 899 a few times in the last month or so. What an awesome bike would love to try the 1199 but price is crazy.
  10. They were advertising some C59 Italia Nero frames for R30k a couple of weeks ago in a March sale
  11. My 500 is 4 years old Last long ride I did was about 5 months back and that was 13hrs 25 mins and if I remember correctly it was at 18% still I get 2 long weekend rides and 3 to 4 short rides in week on 1 charge which is about 16hrs give or take so mine is still very good.

  24. I think I am going to give the 600 a go on the 23/24 and as long as I finish that ok then I am also keen to do the 400 on the 15th I really want to get the qualification
  25. Yes was great to meet you too !! First 200 wasnt bad but after running out of water on that 3rd stretch I was taking strain at 230 mark really felt dodgy and didnt really recover from that lack of water. I battled that last 70 and was glad the checkpoints were closer together. Great respect to Nico to do that almost entirely by himself I dont think I could of! Great bunch of people we rode with and was a great day all round (except the punctures). Have to agree on that wind as well really made you work for hours on end. I really cant believe more people dont do the Audax as I find you get such a sense of achievement from finishing and its nice not to be racing flat out as you just get to enjoy time on your bike with great people that you can chat to.
