  1. This happens when you are a blue eyed person.
  2. Why suspect, she is a visiting foreigner who enjoys her bike and racing in Europe, decided to ride the race
  3. Witkop blow yourself for bringing politics into this debate
  4. The voting issue remains the biggest stumbling block in any organization where votes per number of members are the deciding factor. In running the biggest registered club in the world(2400 members in Central Gauteng) let alone SA has only 1 vote, same as the smallest club with 10 members.
  5. Simple challenge goes to all who are agrieved with CSA, Let us start at the beginning with you the individual. Have you signed up with a locl club? Has your club registered with the local provincial body? Has this body registered with the national body (CSA)? If yes to all, are you involved with your club admin? does you club attend local prvincial meetings? Do you mandate your club on issues of local and provincial matters? When last has your club committee submitted nominations for provincial elections? Does your committee report back to you? When last have you seen nominations from your provincial body to the clubs requesting a mandate to submit to the national body?(THIS IS WHERE YOUR CSA BOARD COMES FROM) Now know where these individuals comes from YOU, that particiapted in the process so before going on about this and that get yourself involved and vote for change the proper way. BY THE WAY IN CGC NOTHING WILL CHANGE UNLESS THE VOTING PROCESS REVERTS TO "ONE CLUB ONE VOTE" SITUATION NOT THE CURRENT FARCE WE HAVE. THE THREE BIG CLUBS OUT VOTE THE REST ON ANY MATTER DUE TO THEIR VOTING POWERS. CYCLELAB, MTN100 AND GERMISTION WHEELERS HAVE 5 VOTES EACH BASED ON MEMBERSHIP OF CGC. BELIEVE ME I TRIED THIS ON SOME OCCASSIONS AND LOST SIMPLY BY THEIR VOTE GOING AGAINST YOU. THINK OF IT THREE CLUBS OUTSTRIPS 15 OTHER CLUBS IF THEY NOT IN AGREEMENT TO YOUR SUGGESTION.
  6. Voting not as simplistic as one would think in provinces.CGC for instance the bigger clubs outvote many a small club proposal if it does not suit them, example Cycle lab and MTN clubs votes together outweigh at least another 12 small clubs votes. (For every 100 members registered they receive a vote) Some race organizers take advantage of the in fighting within CSA and provinces as they walk away smiling with all the race profits not the hosting club or province. Except for Cape Argus and Kremetart races what does the other race organizers give back to the provincial bodies/clubs from their profits. It is easy to show openly what expenses they incur for an event yet none has the balls to show the income they derive from hosting such an event, or the net profit after the dust has settled Hendrik started scratching where no one wanted him to hence the problems started to arise. I thought Hendrik Ciska and Barry were on the right track to getting CSA where it should be for the cyclist interest, sadly the cracks are appearing
  7. I wish you cyclist going through red lights were at the accident scene on Sunday in Bergbron to see what a car does to a cyclist maybe then just maybe you will re-consider your actions. By the way two weeks ago on Ondekkers corner Mouton as well(11H400)
  8. Just goes to show how much some know about Bassie, she co-owns the most popular tv show "Top Billing" and is a successful business women. Cyclelab wanted to pull the black market into cycling hence they assumed her pic would help as she is a known public figure amongst the black market period. A simple request from her might have been all that was needed instead of "am" marketing by Cyclelab has caused this mess.
  9. Big up cyclenation for all the updates and pics on daily basis
  10. You are correct Wannabe
  11. Once again TNT1 you chose the simple way out, The ANC never created seperate living, squatter camps etc we inherited them and yeswe are still failing those living in them. I'd rather live under these conditions than go back to your cosy world of the past as it did nothing for me
  12. I am part of the government- some people only see what they want Caerus, you expecting us to change 48 years of seperation within a space of 17 years, the DA has put blinkers on themselves, show me the tangables they have created in the Cape townships. I have more respect for the tannies down in Sannieshof who have taken their rates and taxes from the ANC led council and showed the ANC how to run a town efficientlythan I do for the DA
  13. TNT there is much more in the Cape,I am referring to the one's at Hout Bay and at Constantia since they started 18 years ago what has been done to either eradicate them or upgrade them to a decent living standard?
  14. This corrupt government has given me the right to vote, to stay where I choose, to educate my kids where I want to, has tarred all the streets in Soweto, has given me the right to go where and when I want to, and many more options I ever had under the old government. I am the first to admit that they are corrupt, yet they still get my vote, show me what the DA has done for my people, In the lovely Cape the two squatter camps ae getting bigger by the day, why?
  15. We dont need free votes, we are dumb enough to keep ANC in power corruption and all. Problem with the opposition is they all power hungry instead of working with one another to defeat us At the end of the week the ANC would have gained more from this election than the past due to all the splinter parties and their wishful thinking. The DA should be honest to itself and publically announce their true stance as I believe they not interested in us the normal working class as is evident in the Cape where you have the distinct divide of the elite versus the masses out on the Cape flats and in the townships. For the past three and a half years what has your party done for you and your ward?
  16. Strange how Juju gets under some people's skins so early in the morning, remember this democracy is only 17 years old. This year will be turmoil with all the strikes and the like, 2012 is the year to fear

    Rider Down

The youngster was wrong and as such should be banned from cycling in total for at least 12 months as it appears he is a habitual transgressor from all the post's one has read.(I am a PDI and prescribe to the development of cycling amongst PDI's)and DO NOT CONDONE SUCH HABITS. I spoke to some of the particiapnts that were at the event and some cyclists stated that this youngster has an abundance of talent yet he is a ticking timebomb on the bike. Are we to wait for someone to be maimed or killed before proper action is taken against such person. As for his parents they too should be banned from attending any event whilst he is suspended. CSA should withdraw him from the development squad as he is not a proper ambassador for the sport.
  18. Once again Panorama organizers proved they are here to deliver a great event for us cyclists especially the back markers. There was only one confirmed serious injury throughout the event and that on the last day as well, otherwise we had the normal falls and bruises but none was due to potholes.
  19. Good day I have been in contact with Panorama organizers and they are trying their best to get the potholes fixed. Here is part of the reply from office: Thanks for the heads up. The status of roads is an impossible one. Firstly, the volumes of rain that has fallen even up until the beginning of this week makes it impossible for any agency to keep up the maintenance. In addition, the provincial roads take preference. To re-route the race will make that stage roughly 150km. There are no other road options in that area. The local farmers have patched the road as best they can bearing in mind it is extremely costly. They have volunteered to try and fix that section for us before we get there and hopefuly the weather plays ball. As an organising team, we are looking at options but can only make a call closer to the time when we can assess exactly the state of the roads. So, in the meantime, pray for no more rain so repairs can be made. Thanks for your support as always. Regards Fiona
  20. Not even the cartel could close down Cajees and Westdene with their tricks yet forever and a day we have these stores torn apart by hubbers who simply don't like them for reasons other than those stated about their pricing structure and service.
  21. It is hard to imagine after five years of hub moaning about Westdene Cajees and Solomons that the same people still go into these shops. Are you addicted to their way of trade or simply addited to their bargaining power, because somehow us the public is keeping them in business for over 80 years each in the case of Cajees and Wesdene. I support both whenever I need something. By the way I notice many of the complainants also moan about Cyclelab.
  22. Fiona will provide answers once she has met with the roads agency in Nelspruit
  23. The article actually speaks volumes for what is happening within our schools rugby setup, no wonder the majority of schools refuse to have drug tests done on their players whom they invest thousand of rands on.Local school in my area actually pays for relocation costs of families just to get the best youngsters playing for them.
  24. So the "ANC conspiracy" on the voting day wins again, no wonder the ANC stays in power, the opposition always as something more important to do.
  25. Besides Kotov, look at wally Haywood 80 years old and ran a 10h00 Comrades,Allan Ferguson a 3H40 Marathon at age 70. Hazel Quillam 64years old a 8h40 Comrades
