  1. Will the R300-00 give you the right to race against your peers based on a seeding system or will you still be lumped with the wannabe racers as well. No mention has been made about the seeding system for next year. I guess the guys down in the Cape wil continue with the PPA system and the rest of us will depend on the Racetec/Championchip results getting to Cycle events for their system to be used once again.Cycle events and Andrew thank you in advance. CSA prove us riders wrong and justify why the increase in racing license fee to R300-00 for 2010.What justification for the removal of recreational licenses as well.
  2. Sad to say, but the Hub has become another mouthpiece for certain individuals if they don't agree with your opinions then you are branded @$%%^, however their opinions must be accepted by all.Same scenario as within within CSA and some provinces no matter how things are perceived to change they stay the same. The three/four new cycling websites will have to be on their toes to ensure these elements don't fester on their sites as well. By the way Cyclenation site shows great promise going forward.
  3. Hubbers please take note the scum has returned to the area around Hendrik Potgieter and Ondekkers Road around the bridge area. An elderly gentleman was held up earlier today and relieved of his trusty stead after been chased by the thugs. Please ride in groups and be alert.
  4. One of those + a Time with Campy spec was sold by Westdene this week even though they their "service and attitude" sucks according to some.
  5. Funny thing is these shops are still in business after +-75 years. Westdene (Old man Baboo)has been running his shop in the same area for 55 years just moved down one block from old site. I wonder how they manage to keep their doors open if they are crap as some state. Cajees has grown to 9 stores as well, must be doing something right or we that support these store are real dumb which I doubt. Service is what YOU perceive it to be .Why have you paid for work not authorised, did you dicuss this with Faried to highlight his bad staff attitude and neglect of instruction?
  6. New method of clening out complexes: Rent a unit and move in with nothing, fill the rooms with all your neighbours goods get furniture truck and move out a month or two later nobody suspects their neighbour to b involved, guards some innocent others happy for the R1000-00 backhand to be a lookout.
  7. Guys keep to the positives of racing whether there is any peer currently to give horns to said gentlemen or not. We are not interested in rumours and the like but facts. It is the same for the Daikin vets Team where ever they race there is bound to be blood from the gums of the opposition and this they proved again at the Amashova.
  8. It appears that Andrew is in a mean mood to destroy all before him after the debarcle at SA's. Looking at the past races both Andrew and Bruce seem to have the edge chasing the finish line for first and second leaving the rest to fight for the last podium spot, Amashova was again an example of seek and destroy along the way starting right from the gun. Your views welcome
  9. Just some infor past Sunday was the "City to City" road race, first prize =R250000-00, now that is worth 2H58minutes of racing.
  10. Pantani Thanks for the photo's.***Small Hijack*** To the traffic official and the MARSHALL not on their posts at the Kromdraai turnoff THANKS for stuffing up a potentially good race for the Elite and vets 30-39 groups. You do not understand the untold damage caused by your stupidity. I hope the club and CGC deal with both in the manner befitting. To all the cyclists affected by this mess I apologize for the morons behaviour
  11. Not a rumour Carinus wll no longer be around at CSA come 2010, this leaves the question - Who will replace him. Hendrik it appears will no longer use his time on the road comms(at the expense of family and business) as well due to the selfsame persons worrying about his beer drinking at SA's instead of complimenting him on a job well done at both events. And some fun to be had with the new licensing system and seeding for 2010. PPA seems to be the cycling body running at a profit, whilst most are struggling, they have the spark somewhere. With regards to some of our junior cyclists not getting any financial assistance whilst racing Europe is another case to be looked into properly. The 8 million promised from Lotto to CSA hope it is used wisely.
  12. Now you guys can come and race the Inter-club tomorrow afternoon at Riverstone

    CRADLEROUTE

No need to DQ cyclists at the inter-club they know how to behave and have fun at the same time. Come and see for yourself
  14. Seeing that some employees and volunteers will be leaving CSA due to some dumb F^&&%s and their bright ideas I wonder who will be brought in to perform a BETTER job than the current incumbents???????????????. You be the judge. Is it not amazing how the truth is withheld from you the cyclist and only bits and pieces fed through the system. Why and who is benefiting from this?

    CRADLEROUTE

We(in conjunction with CGC) will be hosting the third inter-club on the route tomorrow afternoon and will do our best to comply. Invitation has been sent to Ken to visit us at the finish as well for a drink and wors roll
  16. Well done Esmero, good to see you guys involved in so many community projects. May your goals be reached.
  17. Good luck with your goals for 94.7 hoping you achieve. What one did notice yesterday there was a huge turnout in the 40knm race and some awesome bikes as well for funriders.
  18. "What did irritate me a bit was the slower cyclists did not keep well left and leave room for the speed demons to go past and I often had to infringe road safety by goingoutside of the demarkated "safe zone". WHY ARE YOU STARTING BEHIND US SLOW FARTS IN THE FIRST PLACE, YOUR SEEDING SHOULD PUT YOU AHEAD OF US.
  19. Why is it that the ones who always complain about seeding never follow the simple rules in place. 1: Speedie clearly states he has not raced in a year yet he wants a better seeding, who's fault is that, surley not Cycle events or their criteria. 2 LBie says cycling should be fun, then accept your seeding status and go out to enjoy it. Full licensed riders riding down in open categories when it suits them, should not be a problem ifthey accept the fact that they do not qualify for the open prize money when offered by the race organizers, you cannot have it both ways. There is the reason why Jay,Nigel,Epoh,Jules and the like race A bunch and don't mess with the licensed guys. IanJ it seems there is a very few Elites entered this year hence they pushing guys up into the Elite category. Think about it how can someone with a seeding index greater than 7 race elite, yet it is happening on Sunday. THIS IS NOT CYCLE EVENTS RULE BUT THAT OF THE RACE ORGANIZERS WHO DECIDE ON BUNCH SIZES.
  20. The hub is seen as a curse to all officialdom.CGC has notified radio stations and updated it on their website.
  21. Andriette doing this at almost all races she enters in PE. Choice of prize money remains her's
  22. Play nice guys and RESPECT one another amazing all my favorite guys are mentioned in this thread. Owen at least our numbers are growing.
  23. Well done popeye
  24. Gypsy why don't you start the ball rolling and get yourself onto the board and ring the changes for the cyclists. When Carinus took up the position at CSA we had an outcry from some sectors within cycling, the same went for his boet yet we had three successful SA champs take place under his charge, Barry is doing a great job with the juniors yet some deem it futile. Who will we be happy with?
  25. Porky I am referring to the people who pop up once in a while to complain when things don't go their way. An example CGC started the Interclub series recently and called upon three clubs to aid in the setup and organizing of the events. Germiston Wheelers hosted the first one and had a small turn-out of around 180 riders for the afternoon, what was glaringly strange about the event was the absence of the big clubs support for such an event. The two biggest clubs in the province had two members participate on the day, Yet when one goes back to 2005 interclub series they had close to 500 entries in each event therefore CGC could charge R20-00 per entry need I say more.
