That is genuinely extraordinary. I’m struggling to wrap my head around just how complete he is as a cyclist. There are no weaknesses, no gaps, no terrain where he looks out of place. Climbing, time trials, one-day races, stage races… he doesn’t just compete, he dictates. It’s not just dominance, it’s control. He makes the best riders in the world look like they’re a level below, and that almost never happens in modern cycling where margins are supposed to be razor thin. When you step back and look at it like that, it actually reframes the past. What once looked like untouchable dominance now feels almost narrow in comparison. This is something different entirely. And then there’s that little voice cycling fans all seem to have now… shaped somewhere in the era of Lance Armstrong. The one that quietly says, “this is incredible… but we’ve been here before.” Not enough to take away from what we’re watching, just enough to raise an eyebrow while you’re applauding. Either way, what we’re witnessing is on another level.

I recently had to do a similar exercise, My advice is go second hand and do not worry about the name on the frame, as for the use you have described it will not make a difference if you have a Scott/Titan or Raleigh. The one thing that I would suggest is buy the second hand bike with the best components available, nothing is going to frustrate you or your wife more than gears miss shifting or jumping while you have a sore behind of a uncomfortable seat. Brakes/gears and then also invest in a good quality saddle for you and your wife.

By the looks of it I think you need to buy a new bike, it is the only way to fix this issue.

Good luck, I had 4 shoulder operations in total, 3 on the left one on the right. It really sucks and is damn sore. Dislocated shoulder is where it all started, torn rotator cuff after that. it was all put back together than my body rejected the pins, needless to say I still do not have full movement in my arm and something like a overhead press is impossible to do. I will eventually go for number 5 that will be a complete shoulder reconstruction. If it is only a dislocation you should be okay within a couple of weeks. Take care of your shoulders and make sure you train that little muscles as much as possible. Mobility training every day for the rest of your life.

Good day all I know I should look in the classified section, but so far no luck. My wife bought a 16 inch bike for my two year old, it was advertised as a 12inch. The 2 year old legs are just to short to reach the pedals so we will be keeping the bike until she is a bit taller. Anyone has a 12inch for a girl that really wants to ride a bike or maybe knows of a smart way for me to help her reach the pedals, I was considering using wooden blocks on the pedals to give her that little bit of assistance.

Pogacar is just on another level, but one tend to root for the underdog. It would be great if they have a massive fight for yellow in the third week. I think Visma has a plan for that 3rd week and will try a double assault with Jorgensen like they did with Roglic and Jonas in the past. From what I read it seems like yesterday was a bad day for Jonas and he just did not have the legs, I would rather have the bad day yesterday than a bad day in the mountains. Stages 12 and 13 will be decisive and if the gaps is still below two minutes after that the final week will be interesting.

Anyone else noticed that all the Visma riders except for Affini, Jonas and Jorgenson took it extremely easy on the TT yesterday, an unofficial rest day for the team. Well it actually looked like Jonas was also taking it easy if you compare this effort to the one he did a couple of weeks back. I know that is not the case as he would not intentionally lose time. But I expect a full un assault in the final week. Wout, Yates, Benoot and Kuss all is either taking it really easy or not yet at their best.
