    rotors?

You can use different brands of rotors if you didn't know that. Like tarmac says, you can use those shimanos with your avid brakes. I'm currently using 140 rear and 160 front and that's fine for normal XC
  2. Use lead weights on your left pedal and gym only the left side of your body. Kidding, haven't really had such a problem
  3. I would go for a cervelo R3 sl if you'll take second hand.
  4. Tarmac is running a 29er with 28-42 and 11-34 casette and he's not having any problems
  5. Ridr, Here is more info BCD: 94 / 64 mm/li> COLOR: BLACKCHAINRING SIZE: 42-29 TOOTHCRANKARM LENGTH: 170/175mm - SPECIAL INSERT ALLOWS BOTH LENGTHS ON SAME CRANK! WEIGHT: 716g +/- 10g INCLUDING BBCHAINLINE: 48mmQ-FACTOR: 168mmAlso check out https://www.bikehub.co.za/forum_posts.asp?TID=85675&KW=aerozine for a closeup pic I use 2 spacers on drive side and 1 on non-drive side
  6. I really like my aerozine 29-42, but at 708g for complete crankset they may be a bit heavy for you ridr. They are cheap though. About R2300 from ebay.
  7. Oh damn. I used bombs to inflate my tubeless two weeks ago. Was too lazy to go to petrol station. Maybe I should open them up and see what's going on.(I have heard about the bombs, but a lot of guys inflate with them. Maybe just some sealents.) my intense, I have heard thta non-ammonia sealents will work. I can't recommend one sorry. I'm no expert in tubeless, but I think OKO is amonia free.
  8. Being a runner and cyclist I've always hated the cardio section at a gym and couldn't understand how people didn't get bored exercising on one place for so long. For several reasons I couldn't ride or run the past 2 weeks and had to drag myself to Centurion virgin active armed with my ipod touch. Results: Not to bad. Almost every machine has a tv or you could plug in your earphone and watch on the big screen. There's almost a dozen different machines. 10 min on a few of them and you've got a total boday workout/cardio session. Machines with tv screens also have a RCA input for your own movies They've got a normal spinning bike with a screen and ipod mount. So I just plug in my ipod and watch series on the screen or you follow the virtual instructer. If all else fail, they have a free wifi network so i watched some youtube videos. Listened to the top100 song(legal ipod app) Go VA
  9. Not if you do it carefully' date=' remember it only needs a low torque tightening, Edit sorry not so low, 35-50Nm, which is also not too tight, so if you tighten it carefully is fine, I've got the right tool now though. [/quote'] Mine was actually a stupid question. You can just use a piece of clothing to protect the cups. Sorry 'bout that. Nice hack, by the way.
  10. Pressure depends on tyres, rider weight, terain, preference etc. There's not a best sealent. Some are thicker than others and some are more helpfull when you have trouble sealing them the first time. I'm no expert there. Don't use amonia based sealent in kenda tyres. It's sealent, not lube.
  11. What's wrong with it being fuel Johan?(Except that it would maybe attract every grain of sand or dust) I used to clean my chains with diesel.
  12. Ok, so it's the wheels, tyres and brakes that get's it so low.
  13. I would have gone to petrol station next morning and buy some diesel. Dunk my chain in there and wipe clean. It's not something household, but you sure have access to it.
  14. What components? Interested to see how you got it to 10.3kg
  15. Doesn't is damage the cups?
  16. You maybe wanna sell the rr, aggies?
  17. Thanks See how the little chick in the second last photo beat the guys
  18. Snapped a few photies after the race. Identify yourself and I'll send a high res if you want
  19. They've got some nice lightweight brakes as well
  20. buy a 29er instead. Met Tarmac s'n gaan die gewig dieselfde bly. Jy moet net jou bakkie of iets verkoop
  21. I've bought a carbon frame from Tarmac and wheels from Scoe, who was very helpfull as well. Ridr was very helpfull with CRC order. He even delivered to me for free. Bought a cervelo R3 form chaunce
  22. Have spent well over 30k. Largest single amount was about 25k, but I went to fetch and did the payment there. With stuff over R2/3k I would go and view or get someone to view
  23. Does anyone have any experience between the two? Will mainly be used for Gauteng conditions. Both non-UST lightweight tyres.
  24. They may handle easier, but they are also lighter. Why don't you want to adjust your stem?
