  1. david16v - please add a poll to this thread so that people can vote for Wednesday or Thursday evening. That way we can clearly see which evening is more suitable. I really don't think night riding in Tokai forest is that much more popular than it was a while back. I know every time I've ridden there in the evenings, the people that have been riding obey the rules as if it was a day ride. Would you mind posting a reference to the original source of those rules please.
  2. Previously 'I'. And yourself?
  3. Surprise, surprise! It was waiting for me in the post when I got home. Happy with the big, old 'G'!
  4. Has anyone received their updated seeded number and/or membership cards for 2010/11? I've yet to receive mine. Should get an extra month added to my membership come 2011...
  5. I got my Edge 500 with HR monitor and speed/cadence sensor from EasyGIS in February and love it! There were a few issues with data loss (if activities weren't saved (reset) a certain way, but I've just worked around that and I have been really impressed with the regular firmware upgrades over the period I've had it. B)
  6. As long as nothing else is itchy...
  7. Sorry, I can't remember what I paid. I've yet to see a scratch on my mountain or road bike as a result of these cages. The fit just like any other one so I don't see how it could scratch your frame unless you're doing something wrong or you have a super weird frame. I use a pretty ordinary bottles made by First Ascent that I got at Sportsmans Warehouse. Nothing fancy, but they stay put in those cages! B)
  8. Specialized Rib Cage Pro: http://www.evanscycles.com/product_image/image/614/1ae/efe/39048/product_page/specialized-rib-cage-pro-bottle-cage.jpg?1246014164 I've yet to lose a bottle! Road or mountain bike...
  9. Something like this: http://www.dddxyz.com/data/portfolio/XYZ.design.racetec.jpg
  10. I prefer to do it in under an hour as I have dishes to wash when I get home!
  11. I've also been using mine attached to the straps of my road and mtb shoes for ages now without problem.
  12. Make sure the pedal axles are greased where they screw in to the crank arms. My carbon fiber road bike was creaking/ticking noise and I finally solved it by greasing the pedal axles.
  13. That is insane! I paid ~R450 from CRC when I bought my XT cassette earlier this year.
  14. http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2329/3531691962_ae8a409327_d.jpg This happened during the Tru-Cape MTB race last year. It was the first race with my new bike! Damn clip-in pedals. There's actually a nice little dent there.
  15. Don't buy Saris. I bought the 'Bones' model. What a piece of crap - scratched my car and bike frame.
  16. Are the prices fixed or not?
  17. I've been battling to get my photos from the Knysna Cycle Tour by Action Photo for the last 3 days. They're quick to take my money after placing my order, but the download links to my photos in the email they sent me don't work. They just don't reply to the emails I've sent to all of their email addresses! customerservice@actionphoto.net info@actionphoto.net etc I'm going to have to call them which is flipping pathetic, considering they are an online company. Their lack of customer service makes Telkom look decent!
  18. Is that another way of saying you had a wipe-out?
  19. After all the riding I did on Thurs, Fri, Sat, Sun in Knysna I've decided to sell my bikes! Only kidding. I won't make it tonight either unfortunately.
  20. http://www.sram.com All their branding has it in uppercase.
  21. Thule ??? SRAM ??? Lezyne ??? Castelli ???
  22. My camera doesn't take photos in the dark.
  23. Glad to see that Bridge Cycles aren't on that "alleged" list.
  24. I'd also like to know, re: deflating tyres. What about full suspension bikes: must the shocks and forks be deflated?
