Yeah, good point. The fact that cyclists are using a highway to avoid a cycle path which became unsafe 10 (?) years ago is shocking. Specifically referring to the route from Lagoon Beach through Paarden Eiland and into Cape Town behind the Toyota garage.

Are these reported to the relevant authorities (PPA, Law Enforcement, SAPS, etc.) or just amongst friends? Not trying to be funny, but I often find that people think by "sharing" what happened, things will just be rectified. e.g. complaining about a pothole or a traffic light not working on <insert social network> assuming it'll magically be repaired the following day.

Great ride, nice weather and the parking at the new venue was perfect (entering and exiting). 👌 It definitely feels safer the further up you start. Only saw one dropped bottle and nothing else dodgy. 🙏 Happy to finish comfortably under 5hrs. 😎
