  1. Kind of defeats the purpose of buying a bike then if i'm going to donate or sell it after 2 weeks.
  2. I'm in the same boat as you but my daughter is 3 and now wants a bicycle. We checked out most of the balance bikes when she was 2 but they seem to be a bit to heavy for her and then she lost interest. I was going to go the route of a bicycle with training wheels but after reading all the posts that might not be an option anymore. Getting back to the balance bike, which brands would be more suitable for a girl as in weight and size? The bike is her xmas gift this year so don't want it to be another gift that gets used for 2 weeks and then lies in the playroom with all the other stuff!
  3. I'm looking for a top cap on my stem. Do they sell different types?
  4. check the classifieds: https://bikehub.co.za/classifieds/item/event-entries/429877/race-to-the-sun-entry
  5. Just remember it's only the Ant+ model and not dual frequency.
  6. Bud then don't expect anything to happen if you don't speak up....just saying. If you don't give them the opportunity to rectify the issue then unfortunately no lessons will be learnt by Ciovita. I always believe in giving a brand feedback so that they can learn and better their product.
  7. we were supposed to get discount on the rewards based on our Vitality status which seems to have also disappeared.
  8. No issue logging in but noticed that the rewards have changed slightly. You can no longer get the R100 Dischem in store voucher.
  9. Did you notify Ciovita and see if they could assist? Every time i've had an issue with their gear they are more than willing to go the extra mile to assist and make it right.
  10. Out of the 3 bikes you listed the Momsen would be the best option IMO. Better quality components and it's local.
  11. Oh jaaaaa.... or the bikes!
  12. I have a Buzzrack Buzz Bee Platform and carry 2 x Large frame MTB's (29er) no problem. When you mount them just remember that they go head to toe and not the same side mounted. What i did do is add an additional cut to size pool noodle cable tied around both uprights (400mm long each) as not to get the bikes scratched. Works wonders
  13. Did a quick Google search: https://www.decathlon.co.za/p/8381864_st-100-mountain-bike-shorts-black.html?utm_source=https%3A%2F%2Fza.decashopv4.com%2F&utm_medium=https%3A%2F%2Fza.decashopv4.com%2F&utm_campaign=https%3A%2F%2Fza.decashopv4.com%2F&sfdr_ptcid=35079_617_606749449&sfdr_hash=490ab269737f279c53950d15d3333bbd&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIzsf9ioHt6wIVg7HtCh05qwSLEAkYBCABEgJHzvD_BwE#/3-200-l https://www.decathlon.co.za/p/8500913_st-500-mountain-bike-shorts-black.html?utm_source=https%3A%2F%2Fza.decashopv4.com%2F&utm_medium=https%3A%2F%2Fza.decashopv4.com%2F&utm_campaign=https%3A%2F%2Fza.decashopv4.com%2F&sfdr_ptcid=35079_617_606773080&sfdr_hash=973f8e727f224cc9bb3d5be5ff5e8552&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIzsf9ioHt6wIVg7HtCh05qwSLEAkYESABEgJDF_D_BwE#/119-200-3xl Not the greatest quality but go and see? https://www.takealot.com/merrell-mtb-cross-country-short-black/PLID54507899?gclid=EAIaIQobChMIzsf9ioHt6wIVg7HtCh05qwSLEAkYBiABEgIHXfD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds Takealot have your size https://www.sportsmanswarehouse.co.za/indola-men-s-freestyle-mountain-biking-short-c1142403?gclid=EAIaIQobChMIzsf9ioHt6wIVg7HtCh05qwSLEAkYEiABEgKUePD_BwE Sportsmans and they look good for the price
  14. Although I am an Apple fan, I've come to the realization that if you want accurate fitness metrics and GPS then rather use a proper watch like a Garmin, Suunto etc. My wife has the Apple Gen 4 watch and if you tracking steps and minor metrics then it's ok but anything more advanced i told her to get something better. I have read that the auto-pause on the Apple watch may interfere with the GPS accuracy but haven't tested it out yet.
  15. I use Fox Dirt Paw and they are really a great all round glove. If you looking for a bit of choice then try these guys: https://mx24.co.za/product-category/mx-enduro/mx-gear/protective-clothing/gloves/?orderby=price-desc Products and pricing looks good.
  16. I was bitten (nipped) by a dog that was not on a leash about 18 months ago and the lady who's dog it was didn't even have the decency to see if i was ok. She was so busy chatting to her friend that she was totally oblivious to what her dog was actually getting up to. I reported it to the guy that was in charge in the golf shop and he just said he will look into it but the woman who's dog it was was actually one of the wives of the main members of the Huddle. Whatever that meant.
  17. Won't go back to Huddlepark because of 2 things: 1) Poorly managed overall. Dog walkers, Hikers and Riders all using the same trails. Dogs and kids all over the place. 2) Trail quality overall is below par for the money you pay.
  18. Bought one of these lids last Friday and must say that I've owned quite a few helmets but the Align lid fits so well that i may even buy another as a spare. The are exceptionally well fitted light helmets with lots of vents for ventilation. Also the strap is quite adjustable so the perfect fit is always achieved. Thumbs up to the Align.
  19. https://www.takealot.com/garmin-instinct-outdoor-gps-watch-graphite/PLID54854154 Garmin Instinct Outdoor GPS Watch - Graphite - R 4799
  20. They currently have a less 20% sale on their site. Wonder if Onedayonly is cheaper or inflated their RRP to seem cheaper? https://www.onedayonly.co.za/men-s-luna-lava-jacket-20200826.html
  21. I've heard that the Rapide products are great and have even greater backup service. Just noticed that the Lyne rims you looking at are not 29er
  22. Very impressive bit of gear you have there!
  23. Managed to get one of these in the meantime: https://ciovita.co.za/collections/mens-accessories/products/ciovita-pocket-companion Not the ideal solution for everything. I'm liking the portable HDD casing idea!
  24. Preferably on me. I'm trying to get away from something under my seat. Usually carry 2 bombs, bomb adapter, multitool and some plugs.
  25. Morning Everybody, I was wondering what people on the Hub use as an alternative to a saddlebag? I'm in the market for something that could possibly fit into the back pocket of my jersey or even the pocket of my baggies. This has most likely been discussed extensively in the past but i'm too lazy to search for the thread. Any advice would be much appreciated.
