  4. i dont know how they can justify the cost of the 5150 races! but thats ironman for you!! i agree with you about buffelspoort! but its a little out of the way imo
  5. no garfield im going down for the BSG midmar race, i stay in vanderbijlpark so the prestige is my home race so to speak.... i did the buffelspoort race too, what you think about the 5150 series? you think its gonna take off?
  6. i agree that they must let us know in time... im not putting this race in my calender till i know for sure what is happening. im really looking forward to the BSG series booked my accomodation for the midmar race last week so cant wait!
  7. i take it they going to be using Germiston lake again. not too sure if that is such a good idea after last years problems with water quality? The BSG race isnt being held there no more exactly for this reason so im not too sure if i will be racing there till i see the results of the water tests
  8. thats the AR2 aint it?
  9. thx Mampara appreciate the feedback
  10. is there a rule of thumb regarding the length that a steerer tube must go into a stem? meaning... my steerer is 7mm short of being flush with the top of my stem. Is is safe to run it like this?
  11. nubs***make that***hubs no doubt about it in my opinion freudian slip
  12. 5k is going to make it really difficult!! you would have to choose only one like you say Bos but i have bang for buck worked out as follows wheelset current = 2120g AM tubeless = 1486g saving = 634g crankset current = 990g aerozine = 676g saving = 314g shock current = 1905g reba = 1625g sid wc = 1400g savings = 280g or 505g but its gonna cost you round 10k to drop 1.5 kilos unless like you mentioned Bos you do some shopping on the hub!
  13. 1. wheelset (tubeless) 2. Crankset 3. shock you will loose alot of weight changing the above mentioned items then replace things as they break,
  14. sorry Heavylegs but how does Giant fit into this rant?
  15. it couldnt get my character...... my hero, the Geni from Aladin

  17. very true Cassie i have destroyed a bb in one very wet and muddy race so to do routine maintenence on it is a very good idea
  18. isnt that pic taken infront of Dangles shop?
  19. Andre, i feel your pain my man..... if i had a s-works like yours there wouldnt be a bike on earth that would compare IMO you still have the sexiest bike i have seen on the hub
  20. answer: Sandy ps.. Welcome Tmobile
  21. wow this is really cool! but to convince the bank manager eishhhhh
  22. BIGVAN cut out the glutemine and the whey protein and im sure that will make a difference already, those products are not necessary for the amount of riding that you are doing, a low fat chocolate milk is just as effective for recovery but even that IMO is not necessary. as Johnson86 mentioned... pay attention to what zone you are training in, it doesnt make sense to many people that training at a lower intensity is better in terms of weight lose than going balls to the wall!
  23. RB you are right about the temp of absolute Zero but The laws of thermodynamics state that absolute zero cannot be reached using only thermodynamic means, thats why i said that its very very close to absolute zero so theoretically -269 could be the coldest they can get Helium using normal thermodynamic means
  24. patches, surgical implants are usually made out of Titanium wich is not magnetic making it safe to go for a MRI
