No, what did you expect? If everybody is trying to go get there are going to be issues. If you have a solution to the current problem why not drop the organisers a message and be helpful. Otherwise take it as it comes and try get lucky. The system seems to work and they seem to get more and more demand for the race every year. I know that i would rather have Farmer Glen on the route preparing the course then worrying about some IT issues.

You are doing it wrong. used it on Barberton this year and had no battery problems. 5 hour ride and it was less then 1km different to my Garmin.

I'm not a techie but I can't see how the RD change would effect the FD. I have seen guys having problems on the XX FD, generally they where not running std blades, and had put a bigger or smaller chainring on. when they went back to a more conventional combo it is was fine. Not much help.

Above Fratelli's to Alberts Farm is good. Atleast 2 people if you are going in to Alberts, not that there has been any rubbish there that I know of. Rode it Wednesday and Saturday. Saw Danger D bombing the trail like a hooligan in a made attempt to get fit for the Monster.

Just find a big hill to start your ride, and the best thing about winter in JHB is starting a little later and by 8:00 it is clear, warm and dry and the trails are hard and fast. CPT can keep their rain and wind.

Watch Chris Froome today. Going for the GC and riding stronger everyday. 2 Tough climbs with the last being to the finish at 9.4% and should take them 21 mintues to get up.

It is not necessary, however the cost difference is not huge and does make a big difference. I would do it, but it is not a have too.
