  1. First time out at Lourensford and it was great. Thanks to the 2 gents who took us on the first lap and to the group we joined for the second run. At first I thought the R250 entry was steep but after being there I will gladly pay it again 👌🏻 we did around 50km in total and didn't even do 40% of what's available. Some proper climbing but hey you need to go up for the fun down.
  2. I have taken out a couple of dents in the past. Have the rim flat on a piece of hard rubber or wood, then take a piece of plastic (I used a tyre lever) and tap on it with a hammer. Ensure the rim is flat on the surface and the plastic you are using is wider than the dent. Then just m#@r till flat and straight.
  3. I don't care about the speed of your e-mtb. On the trails your speed is determined by your skill, going 40kph with no skills you will move much quicker in the helicopter to hospital, that's if you have medical.
  4. These are always pointless to me because everyone has their reason for thinking they are correct. To me it's simple be considerate on the bike or in a vehicle or be a big box just don't come on here and cry when you get your just desserts.
  5. I have this, it's seems to be working fine. It's for road bikes or maybe 27.5, 29er definitely does not fit. Is it worth a couple of beers? 😜 Let me know if there's someone who has a use for it.
  6. I feel for the people who did the race last weekend especially starting so stupidly late. We did the Flow trail and back up for I can't remember the other ones name now. It was hot up there at 7 already so can only imagine what last weekend must have felt like 🥵 Still it's awesome trails, fun and fast just the way we love them 😁
  7. Waar was dit? Dit lyk awesome en pynlik op dieselfde tyd 😁
  8. Bought nothing new but decided to support my LBS and dropped my bike off for a fork service and asked her to give her some love 👌🏻👌🏻 o wait I did buy something two valve cores 🤣
  9. For a first frame build not bad 👌🏻 did you use a jig to align the rear dropouts? Should be a soft ride, mild steel is pretty flexy. I like the seat stays one above the other it's something different. It does look like a short and high bike but you are tall. Look forward to seeing what you come up with next 👌🏻
  10. I don't know, don't seem to be going any faster with it 🤣
  11. Hey hey hey ek like my lycra watch vir julle 😜
  12. Great looking bike 👌🏻hope you have miles of smiles on her 🎉
  13. Net wat ek gedink het 🤣 I take the rule of traffic, if one person drives on your ass he is the problem. If everyone drives on your ass you're the problem. Looking at the response on here, you're the only person on Janos's ass.
  14. If he doesn't want to buy from them he can have Cycle Lab match the price.
  15. In your budget I would look at Titan Cypher aluminum there's a couple of them around your budget on here. Otherwise you are going to buy an old bike that's not boost and you don't know the condition of the pivots or shock. You can always upgrade the Titan over time.
  16. Dit was net so klein bietjie warm vandag 🤏🏻🥵
  17. One round to cool down before first round trip second round before second trip because I forgot my waterbottel and did not want to risk dehydration 😂 and so it went at least I did 3 trail loops 😁
  18. Cool idea.... But 4 small bolts that needs to hold the disc and engagement ring it might not flex but it might snap. Then special disc's and odd bearings that most shops won't have or would need to be ordered. I'd just replace bearings once a year and not have any unnecessary headaches but that's just me.
  19. Some people live to complain and will always find a fault with anything like a mother inlaw. 😜
  20. The idea behind the bigger cassette was to run a bigger chainring. I think this was done to make the old 2x crowd happy.
  21. My car's over 10 years old and even that's not close to that number 🤣 think if I had to estimate my total km's cycled it would probably be between 20 000-30 000km. No wonder i don't lose weight cause I've probably had a beer for every 10km. Which if I work it out is 20km per litre which makes me very economical at least 🤣
  22. A couple of years ago I did a race and enjoyed the last half of it with a oom, I could see he was older than me. Still told him to be more "relaxed" over the rocks. At the end I was chaffed for finishing 9th in my age group until I saw he was a grand master and it wasn't a easy job keeping up with him 👌🏻
  23. First half decent ride in a long time and the holidays has definitely hurt some of us 😂
  24. I picked this up on the road next to Meerendal, if it's yours give me a shout. Not sure if this is something you can buy loose.
  25. I tried to see if I still had photos to show the clearance. These are not great but you can see with 30mm rims and 2.25 maxxis the clearance is tight. Funny enough the aluminum Scale fits 2.35 no worries, don't know why Scott decided to make the carbon so narrow.
