  1. Actually on the bike. This has not been a good year for riding between being sick twice and the rain drowning the Cape. But yeah any time on the bike always results in a smile 😁
  2. That would depend if they use the same method as with the mtb cranks it should be fine, I have never seen one of them fall apart. I prefer SRAM to Shimano but don't think that SRAM doesn't have their own issues with cranks. I have had 2 carbon cranksets fail which is a lot given I've only been riding +- 10 years. Which is part of the reason for now running a "solid" Lyne AMP crank.
  3. I love these comments, just go throw away as nearest makes no difference R3k on something that is essential for the bike to be functional. These would most likely be the same people to go nuts if there's a mark not specified. It's basically like buying a Ebike without charger. Absolute minimum it should have been clearly stated.
  4. I like running low pressure so have tried tyre inserts and yes it helps. That said I would definitely not ride home on it. Now I just run little higher pressure in the rear when riding places like Contermans. Plus my new wheels has a fat bead which definitely helps prevent snake bites.
  5. Fred and his team are always willing to help and they have a good relationship with Scott 👌🏻👍🏻
  6. Wow I think I have only ever once had a top 10 and that was on the flow trail of Plaisir, I'm built more for down than up hill 🤣
  7. Jumping for a 32 to 36 is already a big jump I don't know your fitness level might be nothing for you but it took me some time to adjust to the 34 comming from a 30/32. Just my thoughts
  8. Must be a small tank 😜 I don't splash out that much at a time, what if the vehicle gets stolen will the insurance compensate for a full tank 😂
  9. Hi the rear is a mk4 and the front a s with the rings around the nippels. Only mk3 stickers to go with the bike. Cwc replaced enough mk3's for me, every couple of months the Flow on the back of my Scott got replaced. I had a Crest crack right around on a test ride on tar. I got up to stomp on the pedals and it sounded like a new rim just settling if only it was. That’s why on the bike I built this year the main thing was wheels and the bontrager line 30's has not missed a beat. Still look like new, still straight not a single snake bite those fat beads work as advertised 😁
  10. I have to say most cyclist I greet greet back. Maybe it's you 😜 joking aside there's always those who will not greet (usually on a Spez 🤣) but don't let it change you.
  11. What's with the sniffing? I have been using ass magic for years and have no clue what it smells like 🤔
  12. I have a group A seeding if anyone is interested. I won't be able to ride as I'm still sick 😔
  13. Unfortunately I don't even think if they get hurt will it set in, they will most likely blame something else. My issue with this behavior is they are p@ssing off the motorists making it more dangerous for the rest of us. And when they get mo@red they will be on here wanting help with finding their attacker.
  14. I just fitted a new set of ESI grips and forgot just how comfy they are. If you have big hands or looking for serious comfort Mega Fat Paw from Wolftooth those are so serious chunky grips.
  15. I bought a can just for fitting grips🤣 it's cheap available at any shop and works great for stopping grips from moving.
  16. There's a couple of frames out there with a similar flex stay design. Cannondale has the SAVE and Scott has SDS. It's difficult to say which is better both my Scale and FSI was on 30mm aluminum wheels where the Superspeed is on 30mm carbon. Superspeed definitely has the best tyre clearance up to 2.5.
  17. The Highball cc is a solid bombproof frame but very stiff so not the most comfortable unfortunately. But you won't break it and they look cool 👌🏻
  18. The older HT's where teeth rattlers and bone shakers. But the newer geometry and frame designs are so much better. If you're on tygerberg trails you don't need a dual they are smoother than most roads 🤣
  19. We spoke about it yesterday, the world is getting sicker by the day. People are going on what they (think) they deserve nevermind who they step on or push out the way.
  20. It's great to see a brand reply on here you won't find any of the other 👍🏻👍🏻 as someone currently on the verge of buying a Cypher pro is it just the name or is there going to be a complete new design frame to replace it? Thanks
  21. Great news! Unfortunately with the bike racks those clamps will never be sufficient. As most top tubes are wider than their hight so if you tilt the bike it just slides out. I would invest in a decent u lock if you are planning on leaving the bikes out of sight.
  22. Ouch 2k for a weld, I'm way to cheap if I had to charge 2k per weld I could retire after one of my projects 🤣
  23. Easiest way is the new one has the same horrible cable routing as Scott. Who sat down and thought that was a good idea 🤦🏻
  24. We were there but it was raining so hard just before 8h we left again. It's fine riding and it starts to rain but starting in pouring rain is not my idea of fun. Tomorrow is another day to ride 😁
  25. Until the frame snaps because of fatigue/age and you fall that you need a gynaecologist...
