Me rida my bicycle

Hi there, looking for some advice on trails around the Malmesbury, Riebeeck area. Going there over the weekend and thinking about taking the bikes with. Are there any trails? Where to start? Is it just farm roads or are there some features, single track? Thanks much appreciated 👍🏼

Yesterday I had such a laugh at Bloemendal. The one table had all the "serious" cyclist thin, lycra wearing guys looking serious drinking espressos (I guess) and the table next to them the complete opposite with their e-bikes. It just looked like the big guys where having more fun.

When I decided to fit a internal dropper on my Scale some strong words where used like eskom, zuma and diesel. So I got that for when ever I needed to change cable housing or brake hose. I also have stripped cable housing for the inner part. When ever I need to change a cable I just slide that over till it comes out the other end, remove the cable and stick in the new one. I love working on bikes but I don't like to sukkel 😁

If I had to buy a e-bike now it would be Orbea for looks or Trek.

I don't notice any difference in my Smurf with or without bikes. Might be because they go inside 😁 What I do notice, if I drive a little different that has a bigger affect. Driving like I cycle helps too fast down hills slowly up. Meaning don't mash your foot to the floor to get over every hill. My car uses more fuel on cruise control than me in control. Also obviously if something is on the outside the faster you go the more resistance it will have.

How to make road races more attractive, Let it take a turn onto a dirt road and add some good single track to really let the people have fun 🤣 Disclaimer : don't know anything about road cycling, petrol is not that expensive and the people cycling on the road are really moody and want the whole road probably because they want to swerve around the little stone because the bike causes too much pain riding over anything 🤣

The Hills challenge yesterday close to Montagu. After a hard Friday night we were only able to open the taps around 30kms just to have a tyre cut close to the end. Luckily a bit of words and some plugs boet could ride it to the finish 👌🏻all part of the game. We were probably the only ones who felt better the further we went 🤣

R150 at Evo bikes. Some links comes off easily and some are a real pain in the behind. But now I have it I will probably not need to remove a chain for a while 🤣

Why do so many people recommend a dual suspension as a first bike? Reasons not too If you are on a budget maintenance is way more expensive especially buying used. You don't learn important basics because you're leaving it to the bike to "help" you. Just starting chances are you're not that fit and HT climbs easier. Properly set up HT will be more comfortable than an incorrectly set up dual, as buying new they will probably throw in a basic set up. And lastly its comforting to know that you have at least a year warranty on everything.

That's interesting that the Sido would fit the Sesta. How has it affected the geometry and feel?

Wat n lekker dag op die trails! Started with Meerendal and breakfast, Conties and beer, unfortunately Hoogies didn't have beer but the trails make up for it and after Fair Cape we stopped for donuts. Black Rhino is running great 👌🏻 Hoogies hammer is probably my favorite at the moment, just the speed and air you get down there with minimal pedalling closest I come to that e-bike feeling 👀😏

The large is probably a nice bike that's why he enjoys riding it. A that length a large is out soos koekies in 'n weeshuis.
