  1. I would also say medium but just check new bikes are stretched out(some brands) I am more comfortable on my Scott Scale than my Silverback Superspeed both medium but the Superspeed is definitely noticeable longer. Ride a couple of bikes and don't throw small out the window it all depends on the geometry of the bike.
  2. Looking at these pictures I just see money πŸ’΅ πŸ”₯
  3. From a misty morning to a great day back to miserable weather all in a couple of hours welkom to Cape Town 🀣some new lessons learned, don't watch me watch the trail 🀣
  4. Yip first 120km was all fun and games last year, people flying by and packing up before the last waterpoint 🀣 I hope this "blaf" goes away tomorrow. Bikes all sorted and ready for the ride. To those who think it's a downhill or wind at your back on the home stretch is in for a nasty surprise. I have never been in Stanford /Hermanus area that the wind did not try to break us. It's a great event, well stocked water points and lekker gees.
  5. Yip for some reason it's always XT. My 785 and 8000 had issues but SLX and Deore levers have never given problems must be that stupid adjuster screw (that doesn't do anything anyway) 😁. I replaced my 8000 levers with the latest Deore and they feel so much better.
  6. Lekker ride on Saturday only posting now it took me some time to cool down. Not from the ride from the second brand new tyre destroyed by a nail in 3 months 🀬 thats more than I think I have ever had in 20+ years of driving. Still the view made me feel better. Probably 20 minutes to the top and 2 down πŸ˜‚ Some years ago I saw a tyre with a nail in and couldn't understand how that happened and after 2 I still don't πŸ˜πŸ˜‚ As my boet said, "ten minste het jy 'n spyker gekry" πŸ™ƒ
  7. Hi peeps, please help me find a Promax hub freebody (HG SHIMANO). The secular "spring" that holds the paws broke. I will add some foto's soon. Thanks will really appreciate help.
  8. No but I like the look of it and their bikes are great value I bought my brother the HT version (superspeed) and he loves it.
  9. I would look at the Silverback Stratos carbon even new they might be in your budget.
  10. A breakfast and beer ride πŸ™ƒ got a pushed into Race to the sea again but so late I am just going to try and survive it ☠️
  11. Get a case number from police and have a assor have a look at all the possible damage. In most accidents all the damage is not clear.
  12. Get something that can climb and don't believe the guys "ja my 160mm travel klim soos 'n bees" because he takes the shuttle every weekend. It's awesome real mountain biking but 120/130mm is more than enough. Something like the new Trek Fuel, Scott Spark I also like the new Orbea but that might be a little too xc. I'm obviously special did it on my HT and loved it 😁
  13. Sweet bike/build just that dropper lever at the shifter would end in a broken chain or OTB with me πŸ˜‚
  14. No idea about road bikes but the Giant looks more modern, the Dogma looks a bit dated. Just what I see as said I don't know much about those uncomfortable things πŸ˜‚
  15. Long gone sorry
  16. The e-bike design/look has come a long way. This and the new Orbea is starting to look more normal.
  17. And if it doesn't work you can use the rest to wash the blood off πŸ™ƒ
  18. Chilly morning but trails are running great and the new trail at Hoogies is awesome fun!
  19. There's very little that makes me feel better than buying new cycling related stuff. 😁
  20. Slow techy sections... Easy fix speed up πŸ˜‚ same with the drops. I believe that speed is your friend. So going faster I don't fall because I am not scared of getting hurt, I know it's going to hurt so nothing to fear πŸ˜‚
  21. I have used CWC now a couple of times. It's R550 and they box and ship it. Saves time and effort and little bit peace of mind that it's bike guys handling it.
  22. A lekker 3day (1 night 2x day) race. I feel sorry for event organisers when so little show up. I think we where max 30-40 cyclist. It was a great route with the longest climb I've ever encountered. It would have been better for the only waterpoint of the race to be after that climb or maybe 2 waterpoints would have been nice. 20220616_163234.heic 20220617_084212.heic
  23. Jy moet maar double up op undies πŸ˜‚πŸ€£
  24. He wasn't on gravel tyres, he must have been on a motorbike with a 165km dirt race in a time that would be good for a Argus πŸ˜‚ the rest of us suffered in the wind of him blasting pass πŸ™ƒ
  25. Well let's try it you bring the bat I'll bring the gun. πŸ˜‚ I don't carry a gun, I am a small business owner I have enough frustration and rage to get rid of. πŸ™ƒ
