  1. Luckily I have not reached that age restriction yet or at least in my mind. I'm only sniffing 40's behind tomorrow 🀣. My body does feel the shots for longer, not made of rubber and magic anymore.
  2. Training ride for CTCT with Warriors on Wheels my first time pulling and was not sure what to expect but the smiles made it worth it. And laughing at some of them when you pass another shouting/motivating their driver "faster faster " or "go go go" 😁
  3. When in doubt/scared go faster so fast you know it's going to really hurt if you crash so you don't 😜. Buy a HT and hold on for dear life. Down those lines it really gets my heart going, so much so I can't hear my mind saying "you're gonna die" 🀣🀣
  4. Mark's bicycle workshop Bellville, have had other shops build wheels and then had to take it to Mark to have it done right.
  5. Yip when I built up my new bike I got SRAM Lunar with Shimano cassette because the ratios is much better especially at the top 39,45,51 better than 42,50 and definitely better than 42,52. I know sram is coming with a new cassette later this year but that will start with the xx1 and some time before we see it in a more affordable form.
  6. @ChrisF runs out of motor 😜 new software like some of these guys pushing 60kph on their e-bikes until they run out of talent 🀣
  7. And the Shimano 11spd 11-51 cassette is less expensive than sunrace 11-50
  8. 50t cassette works if you don't use force/power in the 11t. The problem with the big cassette (11-50t) with Shimano is it only catches about 3 teeth on the small cog so it doesn't last long. You can buy them separately but quite expensive. Have not tried it with a goat link. Sram on the big cassette works better as their derailleur wraps around the small cog. I used sunrace cassette with sram 11spd and got over 8000kms out of it with 2 chains.
  9. Been on sites now for over 16 years and still they won't allow me to use one of the excavators I just want make a small hole but they don't believe me. Maybe our government is dumb enough to let me drive a tank πŸ˜‚
  10. The imitation guns are fine on dog and if your attacker only has a knife. Now the problem comes when you pull a fake and they pull a real gun. It will be at that moment that you realize that you f***** up.
  11. I have not been bike jacked but I have been hi jacked the main difference is we tend to think and if you think and try something your hurt or dead. They don't think of any consequences and don't care about your life so their reactions will be quicker 90% of the time. I don't gamble but the odds of coming out on top is slim. My idea would be to pretend to comply and get of my bike and then use the bike as a weapon. I think if I take my +-10kg bike by the fork and swing it full force with the crank or cassette as the impact zone it could do some serious harm worst case scenario he connectes the tyre but even that should put him on his a$$. πŸ˜‚ Please don't try this it's just my over active immigration when I'm riding on my own and talking to myself πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
  12. As for the little Jazz 5 star...
  13. See this is where people often make the mistake of feeling safe from actual safety. I don't think I would like to be in an accident in a NCAP 1 star... If you really want to scare yourself go have a look at double cab bakkies crash videos of not that long ago 😳
  15. Crank blades usually can run 10 or 11spd. As for the 110bcd it's the distance between the bolts so not all 5 hole crank/blades are the same. I have found that not even cranks from the same brand are the same. So the bcd is important and whether it is symmetric or not as in the case of some Shimano cranks.
  16. In what and where did the 5 cyclist sit? This was a week away and 3day event and we were more than comfortable on the 200km road trip. But @ChrisF 's suzuki Ertigo takes 3 bikes and 3 riders in comfort. (inside)
  17. Happy packing 😁
  18. As soon as you throw that away you will need one of them πŸ˜‚ that's just how life works. I keep things at home for a long time then take it to my workshop and it will be there for years and every time I throw something away I need it in a week or two.
  19. The Suzuki Swift is a great little car, we just got another one for my wife after the last one was destroyed by drunk driver. They are fun to drive and I don't think you will find something lighter on fuel. We got over 20km/L on open road and she got 15+ in standing traffic. Safety is excellent my wife had no pain or problems after the accident. Maintenance is cheap the other one we had from new and the only thing to break was the glovebox lever. But I had to load a bike into it today because she was driving my Jazz and it was a major pain in the @ss and definitely not something I would want to do with a dirty bike.
  20. To the ones considering a new Jazz/Fit just hold on the facelift is coming that doesn't look like it's got a growth on its face anymore.
  21. That’s the issue with the 3rd gen and why the new Fit again is made in Japan. It depends where your 3rd gen was made, all the lekker places like Mexico, Malaysia, India and other cheap labour places only got non direct eniges the ones made for Japan, America and England got the new engine.
  22. FYI it's the same engine in the sport as the other 1.5s just with upgraded software. You want some fun decat one and do a software upgrade and the little 1500s power goes well into triple digits. 😁
  23. It's the driver not the car, if you couldn't get any don't blame the tools πŸ˜‚πŸ€£
  24. I have also done it, a longer axel might be needed. It's 6mm difference which is like a fat spacer but a little bit off won't be a bad thing.
