  1. Maxxis redesigned/reinforced their tyres obviously had a bit of loss in sales after last year's Epic.
  2. Sorry! I'm one of those who enter like when they say last day to enter, I don't enter on the day though. I ride enough during the year so no need to train for a race because I am not going to win it so why wolf it down when you can enjoy it. As for the the running out of things don't always blame the couple of late oaks, I've done a couple of events which didn't even have water at the last couple of water points. I'm usually playing well within the first half of entrants and always think of the people far behind who are giving it their all to finish and now have to do it unsupported after paying the big entry fees of these days. That's not cool...
  3. Does anyone have a set of skinwall xr4 team they would like to trade for black ones?
  4. If you want grip, low weight and good rolling resistance the bontrager xr4 👌🏻 Or if you want more a xr4 rear and xr5 front 😁 Sorry only looking at the date now guess it's a little late 😂
  5. Suddenly it jumped up to R18000. We need to contact and go collect and pay him what he deserves. I've sent a message as well.
  6. I would look for cracks on the inside. No dents or cracks should be fine. This is just my opinion.
  7. And the new XO crank looks interesting. Not like any of these would be in the average persons budget so ja it looks interesting and that's about it ...
  8. The only good thing I saw was the new cassette finally something with better jumps still bigger than Shimano. 8t jump compared to 6t on shimano but better than the 10t jump of current.
  9. Julien Louw of Giant D'ville, a group session or one on one would be the best. Following someone into a technical or jump line without the skill is going to get you hurt or worse bike broken. 👌🏻
  10. Saw them 👌🏻 well done to the little man 👍🏼 To the guy who helped the last 100m or so up that steep hill before the descend to Constantia thank you 🙏🏻
  11. We passed a probability 200k S.Spez with the buggy on a climb and did not see him again 😂 Soos 'n toppy eendag gesê het dit maak nie saak wat jy ry dit moet getrap word 😁
  12. Just wanted to say I don't know the big deal about sub 3. I did well below that with supporting the buggy, I nearly did a sub 2🤣😂
  13. It was fun, unfortunately the buggy I was supposed to pull did not make it so I pushed/pulled a father and sun. It was quite the workout so glad it was only 42km.
  14. That was just a quick spin. But riding the 2 back to back it was easy to feel the one accelerate much easier/faster than the other. The suspension design could also have been a factor. I built my new bike with carbon rims and hi engagement hubs. Have only had the bike for about two months and riding much more aggressive rubber and only recently had it set up. I have bettered on some climbing segments but the big difference is in the feel. The steering is more direct the bike goes where I point it. And the peace of mind with life time warranty and 2 year crash replacement was my main deciding factor as I got tired of replacing alu rims every couple of months.
  15. On a bike it's important to see what the rotational weight and static weight difference is . I had a 910 Spark weight just under 13kg and it really didn't feel lively and then had a spin on a aluminium Anthem roughly the same weight but with a good set of carbon wheels and lighter tyres and it really felt much faster/better.
  16. The bar has a sweep as most riders shoulders are narrower that 700 it's to compensate for your arms going outward. Find somewhere that supports you, sitting in your cycling position and roll the bar forward and backward to get a good comfortable hold. It could be that your bar is to far forward which would feel like it's twisting your wrist. PS. most bar's of that width will have a 9 degree sweep. I had a Thomson bar 730mm which has a 6 degree but have not seen a wider bar with similar.
  17. Had the privilege of having Hannah in the passenger seat today, looking forward to next Sunday 👌🏻 the towbar I built works perfectly 😁
  18. Not my team I'm just happy to be a part of the Warriors on Wheels. It's nice to be able to do something for the kids and to see them enjoying it really makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside 😊
  19. You guys really put effort into making buying and selling better for the members. There will always be low ballers as will there be people who over value what they have. So not every low ball offer is in actuality a low ball offer but might be more market related. On another note the Bikehub pay works awesomely! I have never thought I would buy something unseen but I did twice in the last month and using this takes all the gamble out of it. Thanks guys 👌🏻
  20. Dankie @ChrisFek is nie 10 so Chris wat gelukkig baie te doen het met die jong spil het daai vir my ontleed. Was nou net op pad om vir Google te vra 🤣 Party mense moet inskryf vir die Durban July so gou soos hulle op 'n perdjie spring 🙃
  21. Most of these sealants are the same. If you buy it in the big bottles you need to shake it very well otherwise the granules that seal the bigger holes are all left at the bottom and it just spills out the white sticky all over everything like at you first gf and it's a sucks to clean after the fun is over.... (seriously need a different fonts 😜)
  22. You can see the dealers who cycle or at least has a clue of the value. Then there's clowns that buy something because it looks like a bargain and then try and sell it for a stupid amount. I like to watch as the price comes down and down. Some things are priced "cheap" for a reason, some things just don't sell good. Could be size or part compatibility limited or it's just 💩.
  23. Yes I am and Bikehub is my stage.
  24. O so you just ride around the hills then 😜😂
  25. Wow where do you live that's that flat? I've not even got to 3000km last year but my elevation was just under 50 000m gain.
