Girl friend is new to cycling but is a competitive walker, so fitness is not an issue. Since she started cycling, she developed cramps in her calves at night, in her sleep! Put her on slow-mag but nothing seems to help! Agree that the answer lies in training but my question is, how come the cramps happen hours after completing a cycle and how does one treat the problem?

I was told that the Caravan Park is very cold at night - anyone have experience of this? Last year we stayed at Medike which was stunning but way toooo far from the festivities. This year we want to stay at the carav an park. Is this a good idea?

I also did the race. Thought I knew the Farm but man did they take me into places I'd never seen before! I had a ball! Only did the 35km ride but I found it very challenging. Some nice single track, lots of climbing and some cruel deviations. But, hey! I'm a newbie to mtb, so what do I know? Interested to hear what other peeps thought of the ride.
