  1. From what I saw it was a monster effort from Roglic and when he tired and the other guys pulled through he made what I thought was the incorrect decision to join between riders rather than at the back he was on the limit and maybe not thinking correctly. He pulled into the mini breakaway whilst Fred Wright seemed to just hold his line It was a racing incident and possibly Roglics fault. He’s had some terrible luck and usually is pretty stoic about it because he redeems himself with a Vuelta win This year he hasn’t been able to “fix” his year with a Vuelta win, frustrations have boiled over and he’s looking to apportion blame. Seems out of character but I’m afraid he’s wrong I’d love him to win the Giro or TDF As an aside I have found this Vuelta boring - not sure why as some great performances
  2. or take a bit longer - george to knysna - uniondale - prince albert - oudtshoorn - george or do it backwards - slightly easier I think
  3. Check your DM Barry if you want this bike to get a good home
  4. Here is the perfect answer - 150kgs is going to need this bike as an added bonus the hulk will have a cool as custom bike
  5. If anyone needs to borrow a large wetsuit for the weekend I can guarantee it will keep you warm you might sweat to death but you won’t get cold 🤣
  6. Challenge accepted - here you go, 2 years ago 9.59 kgs, usuable daily, wheels full of sealant, durable tyres and a saddle that won’t make you bleed. Includes co2 and stashed tools
  7. When they come in do it yourself I’m bored of his always Scott builds I do like the cranks though
  8. Sniff the saddle, boxer roll up tobacco, made in SA gouloises or gitannes odour, made in France
  9. I’m not engineery but can’t that turned off somehow ?
  10. super difficult to find, I had a LOOK and had to get one on ebay
  11. I would bet Wouts left nut that the home ownership percentage in Canada is way higher than South Africa - and I guess in most cities those who work there can’t afford to own there and in SA those same workers can’t afford a bike never mind a sexy mastercraft boat but most importantly I really hope you don’t reflect on your decisions too regretfully - life’s short try make decent decisions and learn from the poor ones and be a happy mountain goat
  12. I hope more scammers get in touch with you Stan, pure entertainment ps good luck with your piles
  13. Pile Prince, priceless
  14. I’ll be controversial and critical of what is an almost perfect bike at this level and pricing it could do with a piece of art badge on the headtube needs a brown saddle or black bar tape but this is just nitpicking a gorgeous bike
  15. I'm not a farmer but at full retail I worked out a new hilux costs 300 sheep - that’s the most basic double cab I have no idea why I did that
  16. Gx with garbaruk cage and oversized pulleys - variety of colour and so bling - get a matching chainring all the other bikes will be jealous
  17. Amazing tour and after the interviews I’ve seen with Pogacar and the way he raced I have even more admiration. So graceful and magnanimous in defeat, what a champ. He has just leant how to lose and the rest of the peleton is going to pay what a tour, missed Alaphilipe but that’s being greedy I’m sure on reflection Louis Meintjies will feel justifiably proud.
  18. hi, the Outeniqua pass has a pretty wide shoulder and I ride it every now and then and feel pretty safe by road bike standards. Lots of people ride the N2 but I wouldn't even consider it - I drive from Wilderness to St Francis and back every week and I feel the risk of riding on this road just isn't worth it. But if you are going to do it get in touch with Eugene at Sedge Cycleworx. Great guy and they do group rides and no one knows the area better. You could ride from Sedgefield to George on the 7 passes - you'd have to cross some gravel but coming from Sedgefield you ride the N2 and then take a left up towards Karatara/Garden route trail park and keep turning left till you take the Hoogekraal pass - its about a 10km gravel climb and is currently doable on 28mm rubber - then 18km tar to Hoekwil and drop down to wilderness, climb out of wilderness back to 7 passes (old george road) Beautiful quiet tar all the way to George but you will have to do some portage where they are repairing the road from flood damage (always better on a Sunday) I would just say that this would all be so much easier and safer on a gravel bike or MTB. Personally I'd stay off the N2, definitely avoid Kaaimans. But I see people riding there all the time. I also get regular reports on my phone about accidents there You have many options, Eugene at Cyclworx is your best one
  19. lawyers win consumer loses, which is sadly the way the cookie crumbles
  20. not sure a bike should make me feel like this
  21. my remaining 2 sets, one on my bike, one hanging up waiting for who knows what but you'll have to dig so deep in your pockets for that set - everythings for sale if it's not fixed to my bikes
  22. Although this is my favourite even after K2C I won't be there this year because I'm old, did something only for younger knees and have badly injured both knees The reason I started riding much more in 2015 and surfing much less and I forgot to follow the formula Now I haven't been able to do either for a month so I'm fatter and miserable But @Jewbacca even fit and strong I wouldn't have taken your 200 miler entry because its my knees that aren't working, not my brain. Get well soon
  23. I think the case for DD being a poor environment for winning is easily made
  24. no actually this one was more touch up work but he blended in with the original paint very well. There was lots of finicky work as I didn't want a respray to take away from the originality
