  1. Hi Guys, Does any one know where you can get coloured high density foam tubing in SA. I've gone the Google and Yellow Pages route but have bot really succeeded in getting any where. Thanks
  2. Cool, mailed them. See what they come up with.
  3. Anyone know where you can buy block PVC plastic from. I have a project on the rocks where by I intend to recreate the indexing in my gripshifters so I can get em going for a 10 spd groupo. Recon have some awesome new 10 spd cassette comming out.

  5. Hey PPWTF, Thanks for your enthusiasm. > We need at least 6 guys to go, got 4 so far including your self. > I reckon we'll take all our own kit with us hey. > The plan is to ride 200 Km a day that way we'll spend 8 days there and 8 days back with a rest day when we get to Zim. We'll stay in BB's on the way there and back. > Average speed will vary I'd imagine. A good base pace will mean we'll be riding around 28ish KMPH. Roughly 6.5 hrs a day on the bike. > If we leave early to mid november then we'll get back by early dec at the latest which allows time for guys who have kids to be there for the holidays. PM if you are keen.
  6. Yeah well, ride back then.
  7. Hey Guys, Thinking about riding to Zim, got mates there, over the Nov/Dec period. Its just over 1600 Km one way. Any one keen on joining me, got another mate or two keen. Ideally I'd like to cover the distance in 8 days, thats 200 Km a day. Ideally we'd need at least 5 riders for safety sake. Spend a few days in Zim at which point we'd turn around and wonder back. We'd start from Maritzburg, would make a wicked base for the 2010 season. Later
  8. Sweet, I'm looking forward to the build.
  9. Sweet frame by the way.
  10. AM build or more free ride?

  13. My Ti Ht is built up with a SID Worldcup fork, KCNC Finishing kit, ZTR/ Revolution/ A2Z Race wheels. Groupset is a mix of top end Sram and XTR components. Brakes are Formula ORO units. In full race guise it comes in at just over 9.2 Kgs.

    How much?

    full carbon frame?
  15. I use finish line dry lube. Every now and then I just strip the housing from the cables, run some bog roll with parafin accross the cables to clean em. Then I dribble some lube down em and wipe the excess of. Re assemble then go ride.
  16. Lots of Vitamin C and a Vit B jab once a week.
  17. Nice build, do yourself a favour though and get a KCNC finishing kit over the easton one. Its lighter and cheaper.
  18. What wheels are you running?
  19. That's not quite correct' date=' over time the cables do stretch and fray, in my opinion they need replacing every 18 - 24 months. Du Point reccomends replacing the cables on a bi yearly basis.[/quote'] Who is this Du Point oke? Some French guy? My fault I forgot the IO, its Io Dupont. Company that makes PowerCordz.
  20. Look theres nothing worng with PowerCordz, as with every thing they have there place. I'll be honest they'll cost you in the region of $40 a cable which is hellishly pricey. Most of the time they're founf on 5 KG MTBS and such.Rather save the money and invest in other areas of your bike. You have a GT right? Real weight saving starts with rotational components. Wheels, shoes, cranks etc.

  22. Very light, very stong, very expensive. Paragon Tech brings the range in.
