  1. Toyota make a Jazz, I thought that was Honda's Job.
  2. > Alternative to sunglasses. > Can also stop bits of flying debris. > In the case of the Kaos, it looks fairly cool.
  3. Lets no go there, I saw Liverpool play against Man United live, a few years back, one of the diriest games I've ever seen. That aside, I stuffed up, there I am going on about the Hex and Xen being AM lids and the Kaos fits into the same catergory. That said it weighs the same as the S-Works 2D and costs alot less. CRC have some wicked prices. http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Categories.aspx?CategoryID=225
  4. Yeah I know now change your avatar to Chelsea, I'm sick of Man United winning all the time
  5. If its a case of heart vs. head then I reckon you are dead on. The Volt is the best value lid and again if you smash it up then you can replace it cheaply. For all out looks have one of these: Met's Kaos
  6. Great Choice
  7. Again a great lid but its also aimed at the AM market and is basically a cheaper version of the Xen.
  8. If you're looking at that price range why not have a look at the Giro Ionos as well. The Xen is a really decent lid how ever its aimed at the AM market while the ones L.T.G is on about are aimed at the XC/ XC Race markets. Out of the Giro, Specialized and Bell I'd go for the Bell given that if you land on your nugget and smash your lid you can get a new one for 30% of the original retail price.
  9. Jeez mate calm down, re- read what I wrote all I was trying to say was that I had tried the product and I did not like, I wasn't having a go at you. As to the phrase, "mildy sick," I was just taking the phrase out of its literal context and using as a metaphor. I am not a huge fish fan as it is and I'm scared of sharks so I don't fancy a deep sea fishing trip regardless of how sick I may or may not get.
  10. If I remember correctly Thudbuster is made under license with the holding company being Cane Creek. I used one once and then felt mildly sick, funnily enough I got the same feeling when riding a Klein Mantra Comp. That said if everyone liked the same thing life would be boring. The only saddle I will ever use is one of Selle Italia's SLRs with, dare I say it, a plain old boring, rigid seatpost.
  11. It should have external bearing cups, they screw into the BB shell. You then tighten them up with the BB wrench. Do yourself a favour and check out this link it'll answer most questions you have. http://www.parktool.com/repair/
  12. Not a huge lot on it but there seem to be some fairly radical changes. http://www.sevencycles.com/articles/090528_own_the_future.php
  13. My engineering experience tells me that the bloke who put this together had to be a mathematician cause the whole concept revolves around convex planar bodies and shapes. I had to submit a thesis on this last semester.
  14. Looks like an old Scott Nitrous to me, not sure on the model
  15. Shaving my legs is enough thanks. Shaving my arms would mean showers that last longer than my rides.
  16. Not too shabby Gordon, is the Ephaniny, or how ever you spell it, running a Duo or tripple up front?
  17. I know alot of guys who ride Carbonos off road, just make sure that you don't sit down on large drops. The best post to use with carbon railed saddles are units like the EC 90 and 70's. KCNC, Tune and other such seatposts use the yoke clamping design. This puts extra strain on the carbon rails and can cause them to fail.

  20. I would like to comment but this is a public forum and I am not sure every one would accept my, "creative language."

The other option would be the new KCNC units. Give paragon a shout and see if they have them in stock. The unit in question the theh KCNC K-Type XC1 Compact.

At present I run a 960 XTR unit, (44/32) with a 11/34 casstte at the back and for 95% of my riding/racing I find this adequate. I know Middleburn has a new unit with external bearings comming out soon. It should have both compact, (27/42) and standard, (29/44) confiurations.
  23. In all honesty I don't always mind being screwed over, of course it has to be said that the right people need to be involved Jokes aside that is a really rotten thing to happen. To be honest charging a 140 bucks a bike is chicken feed. After most days out the bikes need a full service, which in any decent LBS would cost them upto 500 bucks. I really hope you get your green outa them. Have you tried writing to them? Normally a threat of legal action will put the fear of god into them which'll hopefully get em to pay up. Good Luck!
  24. Have them bled.
  25. To be honest I'd be quite suprised if the X.X came in at a much lower price than the XTR. That said I do agree with you in terms of desire, I'd much rather have the X.X over the XTR. I am looking to see how the X.X compares to the XTR in terms of overall reliability and stiffness. Regardless of its material and construction you have to admit that the 970 is one of the stiffest chainsets on the market. The Athertons have been using them for a few seasons now on there 4X rigs with no complaint. I agree with you in part on the fork. People are too a large extent perceiving the new SID as a general trial fork instead of an XC race fork, its intended porpose. To an XC racer the 100 gram weight saving may well be worth it and I know for a fact that the hydraulic lock out is a huge step forwards because I got to chat to Mike Broderick ( Kenda/ Sevens) about it at the WC. The internal working of it is also very simple and effective. That all said my 07 SID WC weighs 1356 with pushloc, housing, cable and the fork itself and I find it plenty stiff, my weight taken into account. The new cassette is definately an achiement for Sram, I'll admit that. How ever I think $ 328 dollars is a bit excessive. That is pretty much the same price range that Recon full Ti cassettes fall into.
