Carlton Kirby really can be a cretin at times!
z in DuPreez is silent!
Once tweeted him on how to say Van Zyl on the Vuelta and he banned me.
NL Gold in Mens Team Sprint, another silver for GB. New OR.
Chloe MAGA and the USA girls Bronze
German ladies smash the team pursuit! Another WR! Team GB silver.
Looks like Mens Team GB more interested in Team Sprint
Drama with the Danes and the Brits in the team persuit! Dane rides blindly into a Brit
No shin tape on the Danes
Krikey WR's are falling like flies on the track .... .GanNa !
Although it should be said the BBC Breakfast team is far too bright and bushy tailed for my advanced age and cynical disposition.
BBC is limited since Eurosport bought all the rights. If you can get Eurosport player, lots of channels, but near to impossible to get s sub for that unless you have a UK or Euro based Credit or Debit Card, but if you (or anyone else) has a solution for that, please share.

If any Olympian mtb'er needs a hug its really Ondrej Cink, really was on his way to Bronze when he flatted in big way and had to walk a long way back to the tech zone, DNF.

All the other xco races were about pure fitness, strength, but this one was different. They should really all just kiss and make up ????
Agreed - she is fearless and you could see the hesitations of PFP. Weren't they on the same road team at one stage? Liv?

At the Drop PFP is ahead and therefore owns the line and how she wants to enter. The rider behind has to keep clear. Jolanda should have been more patient and waited just a second to see how PFP was going to tackle the obstacle. So I can't agree with jolanda's criticism of PFP here.
....
She was a bit too overzealous in overtaking. There does seem to be an undercurrent between Jolanda a few of the ladies. Jenny has openly admitted its there.
There is/ was a bit of a rise before that drop, right? anyway if you want to send it over that drop, you will need to build up and have speed, so if the person in front of you slows down, kinda stuffs it up for you, but can you hold that person responsible? You need to avert / take appropriate action, but easier said than done in hindsight.
And you do need to be aggressive in over taking / moving up (within reasonable bounds) otherwise its never going to happen. All is fair in love and war! But seems to be a few bad vibes around the ladies XCO bunch at the moment, which is unusual. Sour grapes from the outgoing champ? Her result was not what she expected I am sure.
The Swiss ladies also seemed to get tire choice right for the day, which surely made a difference.
If outsider Blanke KV can come for the back row to 4th place, surely anything is/was possible.

She also just seemed to run out steam on that rocky ascent, what's the antonym of sending it?
Certainly Yo!anda did not get in the way.
It seems the changes that were made to the track due to the heavy rains overnight caught many off guard: route changes, no A lines, one lap less, So the Swizz girls claim they were able to dial into the new setup beforehand thanks to their teamwork and technical coach, whilst others bemoaned the changes. Some didn't even check it out in the practice session before the race apparently.
Perhaps some of the changes were in response to the big off from MvdP, the course got dumbed down imo.
But why one lap shorter? That was a travesty.
There's a bit of drama over that drop, Yo!anda says PFP braked just before that drop, forcing her off line over the top, then she realised she had to gap her

Best result for Team Cannondale as well
Tom is an atypical Pom, he doesn't drink and he is not into football. Good lad!
Leeds (where he is from) is a nice place,
What remains now is downhill.
Wowza ... Tom really bossed that! Exceptional talent, and a great sportsperson. MF was next best for sure.
So Gerald made it to the gig for commentary, what a relief.
Didn't go Lizzies way ... her comment on the weather ????
"It’s also because the race was so hot and humid that all the moves were a bit blunted. There wasn’t that same spark. Everyone knew that if they went into the red they’d never come back from it in this kind of weather. It was a defensive race but still really hard."

Rochelle Gilmore .. ex roadie and ex owner of that Wiggle High 5 team. Yeah she was also at Rio and really out of her depth at the mtb events, not sure about track. But Gerald is relatively informed, certainly mtb and road.
With Carlton on Eurosport is Jo Rowsell, part of the meal winning Team GB previously, she is great.
Carlton is your typical Mr Know It All, irritates the tits off me, But who am I 2 complain,
