  1. Thanks, she lives on the trainer in winter but occasionally comes off for a winter ride Cos the trainer is a direct drive- it’s a quick process to remove the rear wheel and pop it onto the trainer. The Wahoo’s have great compatibility with MTB’s in general
  2. 2015 S-Works Camber and a Kickr 3XX1 -> XX1 Eagle
  3. From me to me: Apparently you need to upgrade your trainer to Eagle as well (The flowers for the Mrs are part of the groupset )
  4. I would assume that a factory spindown would be done using the Wahoo App.. If so, I'd suggest not having any other apps such as Zwift/Trainer Road etc open when doing this as I've found that it's caused problems.
  5. This is what the entrance looks like (sorry about the large photo- using my phone): When my mate and I rode the route late last year, some of the pipe bridges were destroyed by a controlled fire. It’s a cool section, just be careful with all the stairs!
  6. Not sure how you plan on setting it up with Bluetooth/ANT+ but if you do go the ANT+ route, I'd suggest getting an ANT+ dongle and a standard USB extension. You can then leave the dongle under the bike which in my experience prevents any dropouts/lags. I got mine from Cyborg - they were great.
  7. I've set myself a goal to get the Tron Bike before the end of the year... Should be attainable if I continue doing workouts plus the odd free ride here and there. I've done 10 000m of in game climbing since the middle of Feb
  8. My suggestion would be to check out: https://zwiftinsider.com/category/getting-started/ If you want to move up levels quickly, hit the workouts - you'll score loads of points. I can usually do about 1 level up per week, doing 3/4 workouts per week. I think you'd need some form of Bluetooth Bridge to allow for all the sensors to work. I think something like a 4iiii HR strap can do this but you'll need to do some research on this.
  9. I purchased an Intel NUC i3, 7th Generation with 8GB of RAM and a 500GB HDD off Carbonite from JazzyC for R2500. It's worked brilliantly so far- maybe get in touch with him, and see what he can help with. https://carbonite.co.za/index.php?threads/8th-gen-intel-nuc-i3-8gb-ddr4-ram-500gb-hdd-r3000.241444/#post-1652502
  10. Reach out to @Christian van Zyl
  11. I'm running a Kickr 3 with an XX1 Cassette- not sure if this helps but I'm sure it'll work. When in doubt, contact @Christian van Zyl
  12. I wanted to mount my phone on my Garmin half turn mount for my indoor trainer so came up with this solution: Purchased one of these from the thegadgetshop: (If you sign up for their newsletter, you can get R100 off ) I then needed an adapter from the quad lock to the Garmin half turn. I found a 3D print design which some kind fellow on the internet made. Link here to the file Sent the file to the very helpful guys from Rapid3d and this arrived earlier today: Time to hit the pain cave
  13. No idea about other platforms- I landed up purchasing a dedicated Intel NUC for my pain cave. Was really worth the R2500 imo. I purchased mine from this guy on Carbonite and it's been brilliant
  14. I found that when the ANT+ device wasn't right near the bike, I had dropouts. Since using the USB extension and placing it under the bike, I’ve had zero drop outs. I also cabled in my PC to my router as I found this helped with in game lag. It didn’t work so well over Wi-Fi but that’s my experience ????
  15. No probs - I think it would be easiest to get an ANT+ dongle and a USB extension. Open Zwift, connect the USB to the PC, turn on the trainer, put on HR Strap, turn the pedals and everything is connected no need to pair or anything. Mine literately sits under my crank and I have zero dropouts. I got mine from these guys
  16. I once asked this question before I purchased my Kickr. I was basically asked why I wanted to use my Garmin at the same time as running Zwift as it was not necessary. I went out an purchased an ANT+ dongle as this didn't limit my connections (Bluetooth is limited and I believe you need a Bluetooth Bridge to add additional devices). My setup: Laptop/PC: running Zwift + USB Extension Cable + ANT+ Dongle Bike setup: Garmin Cadence Sensor, Garmin HR Strap, Kickr All works perfectly- just make sure that you turn off the power delay in Zwift Settings
  17. Chat to @Christian van Zyl - he's the agent. Their support and help in the past has been awesome!
  18. The next helmet that I'll be purchasing will deff have MIPS
  19. Had a fall a few months back - walked into casualty at Sunninghill. First thing the doctor did, was send me for a CT Scan and X-Rays. Was booked off for 2 weeks and told not to do any exercise. Generally find that their casualty is excellent
  20. If you don't think concussion is serious, go see the movie Concussion. I've also heard good things about helmets with MIPS. My mate reckons this saved his life.
  21. Rode there yesterday and last weekend- they've deff cleaned up the yellow route (in terms of black jacks) but was also wondering what the heck is going on with all the new roads which have been graded... Honestly hoping that the developers aren't doing something shady... If anyone knows, please let us know.
  22. From me to me with the wifey's blessing Got a great deal from CWC..
  23. Id have to say the biggest differences are: Weight & stiffness of the S Works (Carbon hoops are ) and groupset is mindblowing... went from a mix n match of SRAM X7 front derailleur; Shimano XT rear derailleur; SRAM PG10 Cassette; Crank: Custom SRAM S-120 (2x10) to a seamless (1x11) XX1 Prob is I rode an S Works at a demo day after buying the comp carbon and was
