  1. Is it just me or do those new Axis feet look like they were taken off the feet of a zimmer frame and chopped in half?
  2. Tron with mixed colours... I feel like drop points are like eBucks - just wanna save em and not use em
  3. Saw this and had to share: https://www.reddit.com/r/WatchPeopleDieInside/comments/id83nj/i_couldnt_help_but_add_some_sound_effects_when_i/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf
  4. Thanks for sharing! Hopefully he makes a full and speedy recovery
  5. Tech nerd here: If I could hardwire my trainer via ethernet, I would do it!
  6. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OnRfq16VC3g See 4:30 - according DC Rainmaker they will
  7. Doesn't seem like much of a difference. I for one can live with doing the occasional spindown and the diff in accuracy. Perhaps when you've got such a good foundation, there's not much more needed Wondering when these will be available and price:
  8. Saw this comment on Reddit: I really enjoy Zwift, a lot, but if I end up having to pay that much, I'll dump it for something like Trainer Road just because my money would be better invested in my actual progression of fitness. My sentiments are exactly the same
  9. Didn't really have any problems - when I first got my bike, everyone here said that the best money spent was on a proper fitting and I took this advice. They were 1000000000% correct - just made everything about the bike better!
  10. R850 - the R1500 is the fancy saddle pressure thing I believe
  11. In my case, he checked the shape of my feet and then put in inserts so that the arch of my foot is supported, adjusted saddle height & position, stem, position of grips, brake levers and all shifters. All done with lasers n stuff and it made a massive difference. He's a hell of nice guy, if you have any questions, give him a call Edit: forgot to add that he also adjust my cleats
  12. Also just meself a road bike and it's freaking uncomfortable... Got a fitting setup with Richard Baxter (richardbaxter.co.za) this week - I'm sure this will help big time. He setup my MTB for me and it's awesome so maybe consider a proper fitting.

    Shaving

MTB rider here: (I only shave me face)... Found this gem: https://www.takealot.com/philips-oneblade/PLID56139321 It's awesome!
  14. New Bike Day for the indoor trainer: Being a Type 1 Diabetic myself, it's been aptly named Scott Malkinson
  15. 3D print design: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3010476 Only saw this was posted above now
  16. Complete Cyclist Bedfordview - check if they have any winter service specials
  17. Just gonna throw this in: http://richardbaxter.co.za/ Go get a cleat setup done, or better yet, a proper bike fit (I'm not Richard Baxster, not related to him, not his mate, not his agent, just had a fitting by him and it was the best thing I did for my riding)
  18. For Zwift: https://zwiftinsider.com/trainer-difficulty-granny-gear/?fbclid=IwAR3KnW3jZlnRQMKmg3O9rCIHVea6IXJ7i697kl6s9web8GMHphvbfVxaq3E
  19. My understanding is that an FTP test is done/should be done with ERG mode off- this way, in a ramp test, you're forced to push out the required watts or in the case of a normal FTP test, you ride as hard as you can for 20 mins/60 mins if you're insane. Once your FTP test is done and set, you can then use ERG mode again to hold you at certain wattage's for a chosen training plan that's based on your FTP test.
  20. It took me 2 months worth of convincing but my indoor trainer semi dedicated road bike arrives tomorrow... Thanks once again for your input - looking forward to this!
  21. Pro tip : Park at the Shell Garage and have a nice warm-up ride into the reserve- it's about 5k's
