  1. Sorry but haven't got it yet still searching around for it but I am sure something will be said on Supercycling tonight as they said their will be big announcements from CSA in the coming weeks
  2. One rule about The Hub in the classified section seems to be to try and get an okes sale to fail with irrelevant posts
  3. Why when CSA brings forward new rules etc. everyone always just has something bad to say? I know they have made stupid mistakes in the past but give them a chance, stop always being negative. These new rules are only based on the pro teams and to promote riders getting overseas and not stagnating in SA and getting new riders through! We must stop always being negative as riders and don't give me the I paid R300 etc for license fees and R400 or more to belong to a club, I pay it with a smile because at least they trying something and doing/implementing it
  4. Sorry yes its Rock SHox XX
  5. You can get the XX or Sid version Rock Shox for very good prices compaired to the Fox forks which just are ridiculously priced and are heavier
  6. No hub seal is designed to take the pressure from a pressure washer, if you do not directly apply pressure to the hub or BB from spraying from the side but spraying it from the top you should be fine with any hub
  7. Real nice bike had a spin on one today, very bling indeed!
  8. Double checked with my LBS used DT Competition spokes and to date the hubs have not given me any hassles and their bearings are not that expensive. They seal very well to protect the bearings, used them on Sani2C and the Sabie Experience both muddy and wet races without a hassle. Doug from DT Swiss knows his stuff on wheels
  9. Go into you LBS and ask them to go through their manuals, all the groups weights are listed in their
  10. I have seen many customs wheels build in the past by friends and myself. Your best option to go for in my opinion which are bulletproof hubs and don't require special bearing replacement set or parts are DT Swiss hubs. These hubs are more expensive from the start but if you look at there maintanance requirements you make up that initial investment very quickly. I myself went for DT Swiss 240s hubs with ZTR Alpine Rims and DT Swiss spokes think either revelations or comps can't remember. These are easy to maintain and don't give me any hassles.
  11. What a machine, looks awesome!!! Must be very light to
  12. If you don't have tubeless tyres it will loose pressure if you don't ride as you need to ride with them for the tyre sealant to seal the small pores a non UST tyre has on its sidewalls
  13. You can do it yourself but kiss your warranty goodbye, you can get seals from any LBS. Their is a certain part on the shock if you remove it you may as well throw it away. If your confident go for it
  14. Nah its better to take it off, why do a minor service on the fork if you only open it up every 80hours+ of riding, may just as well do it properly and do seals and everything
  15. Can't be as a road bike is closer to 28" than 29", well thats what the measurements say
  16. You have two sides of the fence on this one, the Specialized side which works on width with refernce to your sitbones and then the Italians like Selle Italia, Selle San Marca, Pro Logo and Fizik who work on flexibility. In a way the Fizik group actually says that while you sit and bend over your sitbones are not taking the pressure anymore, I have done the test with the Fizik guys and it makes sense. The spesialized theory also makes sense, so who cares what who says as long as its comfortable for you its 110%
  17. It will be Truvativ handlebar, stem, etc
  18. Awesome looking machines who sells them, what shops?
  19. Wow thats impressive well done and money well spent With a DT Swiss fork or even a Sid you would even be lighter B)
  20. I recon its a ploy to get people to purchase PVR's, very sneaking but in a way makes business sense for them or do I mean more cash in their pockets
  21. Those ZTR Crest 29er rims are real nice
  22. You crazy if you want to go that way its not safe
  23. Better frame, 9speed gears and a better fork, jip I would pay the extra bit
  24. Truvativ Stylo, great crank and their blades to replace are not that expensive
  25. Go the Scott route you won't regret it one bit
