  1. I would also like to have it but on XBox though
  2. I will wait another month until the Scott comes out going to be one of the best 29er duals on the market, have a look at Cannondale to
  3. Looks ver nice is that their alu frame?
  4. Probike has been bought out by Scott Sports, you can't purchase the bicycles on line here in SA. If you purchase your bike from overseas their is no warranty Scott has awesome machines in the pipeline for 2012 with very cool settings and gadgets
  5. Ladies sizes are normally just one smaller than the men so the mens small would be a ladies medium same geometry, so it is actually just with most brands a moneymaking thing
  6. WTF! Really if it annoys you so that much phone them and ask them to remove you from their database. Next time when you enter for races read the terms and conditions don't just sign it. Check the Nissan series for example, their when you enter you clearly state when you agree to their terms that they may send you emails and sms's
  7. Its ****, I know of two people who had these type of seatposts and stopped using them because they gave them back issues
  8. Unless their is something wrong with your frame it has zero to do with Giant, and no I am not a Giant fan, I only ride Scott's and GT's. Its the mechanic's incompetence not being able to sort out your brake issue. In future support proper bicycle shops with guys with passion for it
  9. Rather take that small amout you are going to pay in and purchase a 29er hardtail you can use to do all your training on, you seriuously can't do the Epic and race and train on the same bike it is just to expensive espicially on a dual suspension.
  10. Keep the Scott man a 29er dual is overkill
  11. Scott Scale! Best frame by far
  12. Ok cool I sent them a mail so awaiting reply, hopefully it doesn't take long
  13. Hey guys bought some things from CRC on Friday and paid by credit card not Paypal as I am not registered with them. On the website it still shows as the order being processed, anybody maybe have an idea how long it takes to ship out or clear on their side? I opted for the DHL option to deliver as I need some of the goods asap. Any help will be appreciated
  14. Really awesome video hope for the best of luck for them with the Epic I reckon they are going to be super strong
  15. RRP on the Spark 40 is R19700 odd so you can get it at some shops for about R18500. Much better buy than the Mercury
  16. I have generally not had any issues while cycling with taxi's but it may be that they have a different mindset in PTA if I dare say so, other motorists are more of a danger to me
  17. If you are after a great knee surgeon, no one better than Daan du Plessis at Little Company of Mary in Groenkloof. He has done wonders for my knee's from my rugby injuries to cycling injuries
  18. Funny you only mention the local bike shops that should adjust, take a part that costs around say R10 to make, the manufacturer say SRAM adds his 30 % mark up, the importer ads his 30% mark up and then the LBS can add his 30%, so you end up paying R22 for it and if your a loyal customer the shop owner will give you 10% discount. This is a normal bike shop and not the ones that over inflate the prices. This is a conservative estamation as I reckon the importers make a lot more on the products. So don't always just point fingers at the LBS, make your calculations properly and you will see at the end of the day its not such a roaring trade as most assume it is. Another thing to ponder about is the food industries and clothing industries mark ups they are in the region of 100% if not more
  19. I know they sold the current bicycles with an issue with the fork. Apparently they have not fully adhered to their stringent tests, more failed than usual. So locally they say they won't break but you will sign a disclaimer form for the fork, they will however replace the fork with a new one when they are released. They are 100% sure it won't break but yeah the problem is still their. Funny they did not sort this before release
  20. Can't see why he would want to come back, why not ride for a pro continental team and stay sort of in the loop in Europe. I think financially it may be good for him now but for his career for surely not
  21. I will go for XT, XTR is just lighter and really does not last as long as an XT, I have tried both. I also like the Sram PC991 Cross Step chain very strong and lasts long
  22. Point is a pro will win on anything, yes the first 3 places on the Attakwas was 29ers but they would have done just as good on 26" duals. Pro's ride what they are given from the factory and what needs to be marketed.
  23. Think its only the Scott Addict RC that does not have a replaceable hanger the CR1 does
  24. Both are excellent carbon models however the Scott CR1 has proven itself to me over the years with its CR1 technology on their various models
  25. Nothing better than the Specialized rib cages and mine is almost two years old now and still works like a dream
