  5. Hi Guys some fellas broke into my garage in Sea Point last night and stole my road bike a Blue and silver Omega vortex) and my kids MTB a 20 inch black /grey Giant, i really would like the MTB back for my boy as he got it for his birthday 5 days ago and he is shattered. Any info would be great and just keep eyes peeled if any hubbbers venture into pawn shops or cash crusaders etc in the next few weeks. Thanks
  6. Im not renewing this year as i only ride MTb and they barely organise any of the MTb races in the cape these days. On top of that i entered Bie Burger MTB and i still didnt get my PPA discount and had to pay CSA fees even though i was still a paid up PPA member. Only advantage is a good argus seeding, but that doesnt mean to much to me so FAAAARK em i say
  7. Giant Trance X
  8. Ok Chaps im back from the Forest , it was pretty crap it was a 18 degree sunny day and the single track just went on and on through this dense forest i mean i almost got lost. Then all of a sudden i came out into a clearing and the sea was in front of me, but it sucked cause i was a bit hot and i really wanted to swim but the cliffs were like 100m down to the water , so by this time i was really bugged i hot tailed it through some plantation rd ready to come home and i then had to endure another few kms of singletrack in the forest and i got some mud on my tyres and a bit on my frame, finally the track ended and after 1h 45 of spinning i got back to my car. What a horrid way to start my week. Now i have to do another ride in tstikamma on thursday then i have to ride the 75km knysna mtb. Damn i miss my office.

  12. You are on a bike thats to big for u. 1.76 u should be on a medium
  13. The general consensus suggested that the increased wheel size would require much tougher spokes to match the strength of a 26-inch wheel, while suspension developments would need to be made to cater for the larger size. Ultimately, the front end of a downhill rig would have to be raised too, something which goes against the grain of the preference of most riders. Steering issues were also touted as one reason why the wheel size would not be suitable for often super-fast, whippy downhill courses. Ok so thats the reason thanks OLi
  14. Ok Chaps , i started this thread and i still havent heard an technical answer to my first post. Question : Why havent 29ers featured on DH bikes if they meant to be better at DH than 26er? I just wanted a specific reason like they to slow or too weak? Not that they to gay or circus like. Now bum cream aside their have been some good arguments but im still clueless as to the reason why niners dont feature in DH.
  15. Was watching the downhill worldcup and noticed that none of the guys use a 29er on a dh bike. Now everyone and there dog has been carrying on and on about 29 inch tyres are the best thing for downhill yet the DH kings dont touch them why is this???????????

  20. Wow that is quite sad!! This is what happens when a compnay grows from being a dream then becoming a hobby then turning into a small business then morphing into a international corporate brand. I guess he was probably involved in endless boardroom meetings, legal work, tax issues that one day he woke up and thought heck this isnt what i want. I just want to design and create bikes!! Good luck to him. Im not sure where that leaves Morewood but time will tell.
  21. I entered and i am a PPa member and i had to pay the extra R20 bucks cause teh system didnt aknowledge i was a member and then i had to pay the extra R35 CSA license on top of it. So i got screwed R55 for a simple admin screw up
