  1. I was going to do the 75km but im going to bail due to the weather. I bailed like a woes did anyone do the 75km.
  2. I Was a fan of tread in the beginning. I am starting to find that their content is getting stale? Also the bike reviews are basically advertorials, or do bikes these days climb like billy goats and descend like runaway trains. I mean really if the bike is crap say so dont say for the spec its not a bad package blah blah blah. Also how many times can you cover the epic and sani? Its not a dig at tread i find most local mags eg car mags , mens health etc ddo the the same. Mens health have been promising better sex and a six pack for 15 years now on every single cover.
  3. What did the unit cost per day?
  4. How much would a ride like this go for??
  5. Awesome i work in salt river i would certainly use them
  6. Are there any results up, the website has 2011?
  7. Ive entered the gravel travel the 75km but im a bit kuk scared of the claimed 1850m climbing, oudemoulen had 1450m climbing and i was knakkered. So not sure if i have what it takes to do the 75km.
  8. Did the 60km , it was an awesome ride, but **** it was muddy as heck. There were pools of water everywhere even the jeeptrack was hard to ride. The bikes took a beating. Very well organised. My only gripe is why did the organisers insist on the 35km route being merged with our route on a few occasions especially when there was singletrack. Grabouw is technical enough for seasoned mtbers but when you throw 2 fields on the ST when the one field have no idea how to ride it became a slight irritation. All in all though i loved the ride. And to the moaning minnies whining about R160 entry fee to ride that parts of that route on day 2 at w2w you will pay R1500 for your troubles so put it into perspective.
  9. i got a lottery entry around october last year
  10. Where is a good place to get fitted ??
  11. It must be kuk to spend tens of thousands on a new bike and have the need to tell the world how good it is. just because deep down they feeling that it just a bike like their old one. Still have to pedal it. Then they see a pro win on a bike that has zip in common with their own bike except the wheels are the same size and they all start screaming i told u so.........insecure muppets
  12. .JA nothing to do with the fact that Kulhavy and Nino are absolute beasts, they won because of 29er...hang on Nino was on a 27 er...and lost by half a second ... that must mean that 27 ers are history everyone run out and get 29ers and you to could ride like Kulhavy.
  13. ag nie now i need a new bike and i really like the trance

  16. Dude quit while you still might have one hubber who hasnt read this thread, u slowly digging yourself a hole that you cannot get out of. Perhaps listen to what folks here are saying and think possibly that you have gone about this the wrong way. You cant just waltz into the esteemed world of the hub where believe it or not some dudes actually know their stuff and start making bold and to be frank outrageous statements. Now im not saying you not partially correct in your so called "battle plan" but you are incorrect in other parts, so either adjust the sales pitch to allow for a more constructive approach or be prepared for further roastings. Just a thought use it dont use it.
  17. Yeah But Yeah BUT yeah But .....Who really won the epic?
  18. not sure of the profile stats, weather looks horrid though
  19. I Have done it 3 times 2 x 45km 1 x 64km , its an awesome ride, lovely area one of the best on the calender. Its also quite tough. I just got horrid flu and havent ridden for 3 weeks so i doubt i will make it, pity though i enjoy this ride.
  20. I did the Tulbagh 66 took me 4 48 mins the burger 60 took me 3:58, Tulbagh was a lot harder or i just had a kuk day.
  21. Will 650b work with a giant trance? Forks are 5 inches of travel?
  22. Put me down for one
  23. The ride was tough, the valley was just turned into a bog. Even the flat singletrack felt like uphill as the bike just sank into the earth. The race was very well organised and the views at most points were breathtaking. On a dry day it could be one of the best routes in the WC. The climbing was very hard and thank goodness they took out one of the climbs but all in all it was a superb day out. Also the festival i Tulbagh was nice, the food was awesome and the beer went down great.
