I Was at Snoekies in hout bay yesterday and i saw a dodgy looking chap riding a beautiful Bulls hardtail with american classic wheels. Obviuosly thingd didnt look kosher from my perspective so If anyone had a bike like this and it was stolen head to snoekies he was riding around near the lookout deck restaurant chatting to the fishermen.

You are so wrong a red bike is so last year , white bikes have been proven to go faster when attached to your bike rack thus making it quicker to get to your ride and thus finishing the ride faster than the guy in the red bike.

Im 73kg ride a 26 giant trance, i ride very rocky technical stuff( jonkerhoek, tokai, signal hill etc) and lots of races. Hell chaps you guys have made me more confused than ever, basically need a wheelset thats strong and light but not to light that it will break but light enough for me to justify buying a new set.

By best i mean the lightest/strongest most reliable and bang for your buck wheelset out there? I ask as i was told the best way to upgrade your bike is to change the wheels. My current 317 mavics havent given me any issues they have been bulletproof on extrememly rough terrain. SO if i was to upgrade without breaking the bank what should i look at? Also what could i sell a 2nd hand pair of mavics 317 with dt swiss hubs for? They 1 year old on my giant trance. Also how much better is xt groupsets vs slx groupset? Sorry guys im just weighing up the pros and cons of upgrading my beast v buying a new bike. Any help would be great

I have had my bike for a year now and have probably ridden around 2500km on mostly rough off road,rocky, singletrack terrain. Should i service my fork and if so how often should i service it? It still seems to be fine just need to know.
