  1. Maybe it was me or that superglue mud but i found the 70km ride to be bloody hard.
  2. That sounds perfect to me, i have not had anytime to ride the past few weeks so i will suffer for 65km but not die for 75km. Cant wait to get on the bike again.
  3. Im in just wanted to ask is it really more than 1700m climbing for the 75km??
  4. I opened up a 2nd bank account and told the bank to do a direct debit order on my primary bank account at R3500 pm. After the first year. i opened up a share trading account and started buying satrix 40 shares every month. I did this for nearly 2 years. I then left the R3500 om add up for nearly 18 mths in my other savings acc until i decided to do the renovations.
  5. Yip agreed i paid my car off 4 years ago and was about to upgrade to a newer better shiner one and keep the payments rolling at R3500 pm, then i decided to keep driving her and see how it was to have extra cash. Now its 4 years later and i have saved a whopping R168k. I have a share portfolio, i have renovated my kitchen and bathroom and i still have my car and its still runs fine (toyota keeps on going). Best decision i have ever made.

  11. I had a jeep cherokee, drank like a horse, went like a mule, and cost me an arm and a leg to maintain. I would never buy a jeep again.
  12. I had groans on my bike , the culprit was my seatpost, i replaced it and voila groans gone
  13. Dude this has nothing to do about anything marginal, the issue happened it was real i saw it on Tv myself, the commentators were talking about , im not basing my comments on some tjop from Tread, im basing my comments on facts. Fact 1 Burry took a jersey . Fact 2 it was outside assistance as he didnt have it on him. Thems the facts mate and the rules say you cannot do that. The issue is not about why there wasnt a press release etc , the issue should be why why why were the rules not enforced?? If it was explained why then we could move fwd BUT now that its rearing its head questions will be asked.
  14. Dude your hijacking analogy is dumb, we talking about rules in sport , not survival, grow up and try understand whats being debated. And again you state "you belive to be a health issue" its not for you to belive or not belive anything, the rules state clearly that any outside assistance is an hour penalty thats the rules . Now i dont care if you find the rules are rules are dumb, thems the rules mate and thats the way the game is played if you dont like them rules go play something else.
  15. You talking about the England foot and after countless reviews it was judged to be out of touch so whats your point??
  16. Again you not getting it, this matter should have nothing to do with Burry and KE it about the integrity of the sport. Dont make this a personal war , the matter at hand is not personal. Its about right and wrong if you enter a competetion and the rules state such and such and a particpant violates the stipulated rule then he/she must be diciplined according to the rules. Case closed. simple as that. No but but but it was cold, and burry was going to win anyway, that means swett f all. The rules are the rules end of.
  17. You are so wrong on this one You cannot bend rules once you start that you head down a slippery slope. RULES ARE RULES. Its called integrity. Same as me saying whats a small shortcut here orr there?? Nobody has the right to "bend" rules in any sport.
  18. Ready to put some fuel on the fire... 1. ...however a certain team manager has evidence that K & D also got outside assistance in this same race but it was "swept under the carpet"... 2. After the Nissan Tulbagh marathon which Burry won, K & D questioned the UCI approved SA Champs Jersey Burry rode in. As if this would have made a difference in the results! 3. At this years ABSA Cape Epic where Burry was given a Specialized rain jersey K & D complained to the race officials that it was outside assistance. The matter was declared a medical issue and that the rider could have become hypothermic. The above points prove that they are not the angels everyone thinks...they are always one of the first teams to complain. Rather than beat their opponents on the track they look for technicalties afterwards...That is not racing! Sorry but your points PROVE nothing point 1. is hearsay not proof. Point 2 is incorrect as KE never said a thing about the colour jersey the media turned that into a strm in a teacup . And point 3 was discussed by commentators before the stage ended so when and where did KE and DG complain. The incident was seen and noticed by everyone as it happened. Im a Burry fan and a KE fan, but as i stated earlier rules are rules.
  19. Depends how tall you are if u 5 11 or taller go niner if u short **** like me get a 26er, bottom line is ride what you comfortable on and what you can afford.
  20. I was in Dr Evils store in April and he told me about this incident, he said that there are different rules for Burry and Christof. Guys if its the rules then they shouldve got a penalty. It should not be for KE and DG to lodge a complaint, the race organisers knew about it and shouldve acted accordingly, i know its not nice but thats what gives a sport integrity. when a golfer finishes his round and signs his card if he makes a mistake he knows the rules mean he gets disqualified. No sour grapes its the rules its part of the game. Nobody to blame but yourself. Burry shouldve had correct equipment he chose not to wear a jacket, he broke the rules by getting assistance. That to me is the end of it, if the rules state an hr penalty there should be no complaints from anyone. I know it will never change anything they will ALWAYS be considered champs for 2012 BUT it leaves a sour taste doesnt it...and the taste isnt sour grapes.
  21. I agree, i try never to go to Tokai on weekends much nicer during the week if you can go before work, weekends are way to busy nowadays its sad but thats what happens when MTb became the new golf.
  22. Funny u say that, yestrday i went riding in tokai with my mate and he just bought a new spez stumjumper 29er and he was also complaining about the cranks hitting rocks, he had a 26 stumpjumper and he said it didnt happen with that bike.
