I have both....the only difference is that the Trellidoor as a lot smoother/quieter when you open it, it is also a bit more expensive. That is all!

It is sad that the bike shops has to get the bad end of this...I think it is the wholesalers that needs to be looked at. Your LBS has to buy from wholesaler so there already is an issue...then you want a spoke from LBS then your LBS wants to order a spoke...wholesaler does not have stock so the LBS get the blame. I think if any LBS had a choice they would rather import their own stuff!

Wheels are great! Cannot complain...I am not a pro but these wheels are more than good/stiff enough for what my racing capabilities is.

Frame is a lot stiffer than the Giant...but I had the "older" model Giant ISP frame. The difference is big, I think if you compare the latest GIANT ISP with the Spezialized then it would be more of a realistic comparison. I really like the Spez, I would think twice from now on to buy an ISP frame. The reason for that is purely the re-sale hassle of it and travel issue. It is sooooo nice to actually fit a bike into a bike box, a bike bag is a bit risky for me!

It has the new Ultegra 6700 on, I cannot see why I must spend R9000 more on DA...it is really not worth it! Another benefit is that the maintenance is also going to be cheaper.

This bike is a lot stiffer than the Giant...very nice bike! I was always a fan of Giant.

I got a Merida TFS 900 HT rides lekker....then jumped on a carbon Giant HT with the best SRAM gruppo on....the diff is HUGE!!!!!!! The first few km's the weight is not a problem but after an hour or so you start feeling it....and it gets worse after 2 hours!!!

Just make sure you have at least a one 130km - 150km ride in a week if you can. If you not fit enough then build up gradually till you get to that distance. You will be sorted in a month or two.

Isn't that what things cost at the Epic anyway? Do not know.....that is why I rather keep my distance!! If he rides, I would not be surprised if they going to start asking an entrance fee dor spectators.

This is going to lure in a lot of spectators...expect a boerewors roll to go for R60 and a 500ml still water for R25!
